You need to talk to a lawyer quick about asset protection. You don't own it yet but once you do, it may very well be in the cross hairs.

Good luck on that one. If you want to change something you have to get the laws changed. Just bucking up to this is not going to do you any good.

Regretfully, you have a limitations issue. Texas has a 2 year statute of limitation on tort claims.
