Limitations is the issue. YOU can try to negotiate but do not make a payment without a release. Any payment on an old debt can update the limitations.

My husband has a dwi from 6 yrs ago. He never showed up for the court date. Will he be able to make payments or turn himself in?

I bet he has a warrant out for his arrest. YOU need to consult with a lawyer in that state.

The others are right. This is a tough case. Take your evidence, photos, etc and get a PI lawyer.

No. Its a statutory fine. Failure to pay and missing a trail date can lead to you getting arrested.

Was sued then i immediately filed bankruptcy but still was garnished. 3 Months later I still haven't gotten the money back.
