After injuring my back years ago a specialist told me I should have had an MRI at the beginning.

Comp has lifetime coverage if related to the original injury. Now getting the ins company to agree is another story. You need a comp lawyer.

Not unless you have a MD by your name, and then they still may not pay for it. You can always use your personal insurance.
