I hired this attorney twice for a reoccurring family court issue. The first time she stated my ex was in contempt of court and we had a case. I suggested a more subtle approach, which was to start with sending a letter informing him the actions need to stop or we would proceed with a contempt case. ...It took a long time but apparently the letter was sent and according to her there was no response from his attorney. When the behaviors continued I hired her again to start a contempt of court case. Focus was on signing the retainer but no action was done on my case. She gave multiple excuses for the delay. After two months of no action, I questioned her directly about why it was taking so long and her written response was to drop me as a client. She has little knowledge in the area of family court. The first time, I had a contempt case. The second time, for the same exact problems, she didn’t think it would be considered contempt, and it took two months to convey that decision. She told me multiple times she would have to check with another attorney about what she should do. This showed her lack of experience and knowledge. She didn’t seem motivated to stand up for her client the second time I went to her. I would recommend going to someone more knowledgeable.
