Mr. Pruit wrote a demand letter for my business partner and me that resulted in the prompt payment of money due. Our company had been purchased by a major oilfield service company and the principals were to receive an upfront payment and three annual revenue-based payments due each year by September... 30th. The second year payment was late and showed no signs of being paid in a timely manner. The demand letter that was written by Mr. Pruit was submitted and payment was received in less than 2 weeks. Brett Pruit was my attorney until I fired him for admittedly lying for 6 months about my case. I am filing a grievance with the State of Texas this week. I have him on tape admitting he was negligent. One example is he told me we had a depostion in Washington ,DC and even said he had arrived at... the Hotel in DC. Yet, he when I arrived at the hotel in DC he admitted he was not in DC and lied. Another time he said I had a depostion in Houston and I had purchased a flight from DC to Houston. He even gave me the hotel room for the depostion. Right before I took off from DC he called me and said the opposing counsel was in a serious car wreck and it was postoponed. All one big lie. The opposing counsel was never in a car wreck and we never had a depostion in Houston set up.
