She wasted my time! She led me to believe she was going to actually listen to my needs. She interrupted me, was rude, actually praised the opposing attorney for lying to the court. Here is a fact that most ppl don’t know. It is the participants within the courtroom that make it corrupt not the co...urt itself. An officer of the court (a lawyer) is forbidden to lie to the court, his/her client OR a third party under any circumstances. She knew from another attorney that I had very little funds and was in need of enforcing my child support and maintenance order. She also was told I am a domestic violence advocate. She did not care and threw her minimal amount being the very least she could take to take my case which was a laughable $2500. She tried to dictate what I would get and didn’t want to ask for extended child support during college that is much needed as my control freak ex only gives our daughter crumbs. She seems incapable of understanding women who have to deal with an ex abuser who literally has starved myself and my daughter out for years and she only seemed concerned with trying to convince me the very minimal I could pay while I had disconnect notices was her $2500 retainer. Funny how it’s always a catch 22 for domestic violence victims as they need their money yet lawyers want money these victims don’t have. Honestly if domestic violence victims were actually paid their child support then they wouldn’t need the lawyer. It’s a very backwards system.

I hired Betsy With as my divorce attorney. She was very detailed oriented and is the most responsive attorney I have worked with. Additionally Betsy did what was best for me and my kids always putting us first rather than worrying about billing hours. Lastly, since utilizing Betsy as my attorney, ...I have entrusted her with providing all legal advice for all my family and personal matters. Betsy Wirth is truly an outstanding attorney and continues to be my main go to adviser for my legal needs.

Betsy made the whole process easier for me. Child custody is difficult no matter when it is done. There are so many people weighing in on how you should present the case and they argue to bring out all the dirty laundry. I wasn't completely sold on this approach. My concern was to be fair to my child...ren. We had a lot of emotional factors. Betsy helped me clear the table of the emotional factors and get back to the simple things. She listened and clearly understood and was compassionate to my side while doing her job which was to represent me. She effectively kept my focus on the case instead of wallowing or becoming embittered by the evidence my ex husband presented. It was clear at every point what lawyers financial fees were. This was beneficial. There were no surprises financially. Legal representation is expensive but sometimes necessary. I never felt overcharged. I also felt I got quality representation for my money. Betsy had a reserved presence in the courtroom. She also had great patience as the hearing was lengthy. There is no doubt I would hire her again if I needed too.

Literally the worst attorney in Springfield IL...DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY, SHE WILL NOT PRODUCE A POSITIVE RESULT FOR YOU!!! Actual letter written to the Stange Law Firm...11AUG2016. Dear Sir, This is not an email regarding further legal necessity, that ship has sailed. This is a reference t...o the legal representation I received from your law firm, on 11AUG2016. I am (to say the least) thoroughly disgusted by the representation I received from your firm, regarding an Order of Protection, applicable to a former companion, whom has harassed me to the point of filing two Emergency Orders of Protection and five (5) Police reports...(FIVE!). I did appear in court today 11AUG2016, for the Plenary Hearing, in which it was my hope to receive an extension of the order of protection, from this former companion, for the maximum duration of two years. It is well deserved, as I have received numerous vandalism's to my residence and to my person, including the taking of my dog, which was extremely dear to me. I was represented in this case, by attorney Betsy Wirth, of the Springfield chapter of your firm. I could not be more disappointed with the efforts of Ms. Wirth in my case and feel the Stange Law Firm should be utterly embarrassed, if this is the level of commitment your attorney's provide your clients. Not one thing in a case that included legitimate video DVD evidence of the Defendant, at my house, went in accordance with what, as a client of 400usd per hour might anticipate. The fact that Ms. Wirth, had to call an assistant (40 minutes) to literally bring a lap top computer to the hearing for viewing the DVD, is just the tip of the iceberg. Your attorney was at least, unprepared or simply incapable of handling a case of this nature. I believe I could have tried the case myself and found a better end result. I literally wrote every single detail down on a timeline for her to negotiate, provided five years of meticulous financial documents for her use, every detail of everything this woman has done, broke, destroyed, devalued to my person or property was given in confidence to Ms. Wirth. I am simply dumbfounded at the fact that Ms. Wirth, gave up on this case, before even asking a single question to the Defendant in the case. You read correctly, I (Mark Miller) spent one hour being deposed by my attorney and by the Defendants attorney, and not one question was asked of the Defendant by my attorney . The Defendant in a case wherein there was literally video evidence of this person coming onto my property and destroying it. Your attorney quit on me, plain and simple, she couldn't handle the heat of the case and quit on me. I literally advised Ms. Wirth, all evidence provided by the Defendant was contrived and she literally accused me of withholding facts from her. Again...not one question asked the Defendant by Ms. Wirth...she quit on me, plain and simple!!!! I could not be more disgusted by my choice of legal representation, in whom I trusted and fully paid to defend my position in law and I assure you, I will never, under any circumstances utilize the Stange Law Firm, again! I now have a reciprocal Order of Protection on my record, I being the individual asking for the protection in the first place, with a mountain of evidence in support of that happening and having done literally nothing to the Defendant. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! and yet the best advisement Ms. Wirth could come up with, when it would have otherwise been her agenda to cross-reference the Defendant, was give up and give in. I all but begged her to continue to fight and win my Plenary Case and she refused to even talk to me. WORTHLESS ATTORNEY! DO NOT HIRE!!!!!!!!!!! I literally wish I would have never heard of Stange Law Firm and believe it or not, you came highly recommended from an acquaintance. Thank you Stange Law Firm, you should be ashamed of your attorneys, and repentant for charging a dollar for such a poor showing.

While searching for a divorce attorney I found Betsy Wirth. She returned my first phone call very quickly and likewise with every call after. She was always willing to give me advice no matter how many times I called her. She knew that I couldn't afford to take time off of work to go to court, so she... always let me know whether I had to appear or if she could appear on my behalf without me there. And she did not ask for continuance after continuance in order to charge me additional hours when it was not necessary to do so. She even stayed at the office late just to conform to my work schedule. I'm always nervous before court, but Betsy always explained to me every possible outcome of each court appearance and eased my nerves. I was also happy with the fact that Betsy asked me questions, listened to my answers and actually read through my file, as I have had experience with past attorneys who never even opened my file.
