I filed a complaint with the Iowa medical board in reference to a plastic surgeon who left me severely disfigured. Additionally the complications from the surgery left me required to see a wound care specialist for many many months with daily wound care, and will require another surgery related to th...e complications. The medical board did open an investigation and found the surgeon to be negligent. I had exactly 72 hours to file a malpractice lawsuit and Ben flew to me within 24 hours after he was contacted. He wasn’t concerned about the time frame just helping me!!!!! I was hesitant to hire an attorney and honestly very scared. Wonderful experience; even better results. Attorney Novotny was very professional, personable and did an exceptional job representing me and my family. This lawyer was rude, incompetent, and each time he called me about my case he did not even bother to have my file in front of him. He twisted the facts of my case and after two medical experts in his firm gave it two thumbs up to go forward, he refused because he was reading facts wrong. Would not s...it down & talk to me. Not enough damages for him because I was not dead yet. Firm told me that he was filing case numerous times since June & were lying about it. He did not give me respect, empathy or honesty. Ruined my case. Goes for big money, said I have case but not worth his while after telling me it wwas filed???
