Benjamin Ray Novotny

I am a Jury Trial Lawyer licensed in the State of Iowa, the State of Oklahoma, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the State of New Hampshire. I have tried over 95 medical malpractice and complex tort jury trials and have won well over $500 million in verdicts and settlements on behalf of my clients and their families. I am committed to fighting against insurance companies for victims of serious injuries and those harmed by medical malpractice.

My willingness to go the extra mile to get to know my clients on a human level combined with my vast knowledge of medicine has resulted in several multi-million-dollar verdicts. Because of my courtroom success, I have a powerful reputation in the law community. My reputation is well known by defense attorneys and insurance companies. My law community distinction, combined with my willingness and ability to take a case to trial, allows me to secure top dollar settlements for my clients.

I have dedicated my entire career to fighting against insurance companies in order to bring justice to my clients and their families. My hard work and successes have been recognized by several publications throughout my career. Most recently, I was named a 2018 Massachusetts Lawyer of the Year by Lawyers Weekly. From 2016-2018, I was listed as a Super Lawyer, published by Boston Magazine. Prior to this, I was selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer Rising Star (2009-2015) in Boston Magazine. In 2014, I was chosen as Up & Coming Lawyer by Lawyers Weekly.

In the community, I serve on the Iowa Association for Justice Board of Governors, and I am a member of the Winneshiek County Judicial Magistrate Appointing Commission. Additionally, I am a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association.

When I'm not fighting for my clients, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our son, and our two dogs. We love spending time outdoors hiking, skiing and enjoying all that nature has to offer.
