My name is Jaime and on July 1, 2016 my boyfriend/not husband came into my home and without my permission and knowledge, took my baby(son) who was only 15 months at the time from my home and refused to give him back. I didn't know of any child custody lawyers and had seen his advertisement about father's rights and thought what about a mother's rights, Who better to talk to about children's rights and mind. What did I have to lose? I was desperate, heartbroken and did not know where my baby was. I made that appointment for the Saturday before my court date. I went to this appointment, feeling low, with no hope and the guilt of allowing this to happen to my baby was more than I could bare. I felt like my heart had stopped beating the day that my baby was taken. I walked into The Jeffery Leving Law office.There, I met with two attorneys: one of these attorneys was Austin Vandeveer. Austin listened to me, this was unusual, because the previous attorney did not. I knew by the look on Austin's face that he could feel some of the heartache, pain, frustration and a loss that a parent should never have to endure. Wth the help of dishonest people and their willingness to tell great lies in order to help her ex. My daughter's son was taken away from her at 15 months of age in 7/2016. With this being said. We retained a lawyer who was not helping at all. We were going into an abyss with each court date. With no ...hope in sight, I called the Jeffery Levin office and made an appointment, . It was a cloudy, rainy and cold Saturday morning. We were not going to keep this appointment. We went anyway. We walked into the Office of Jeffery Levin, this is it! We had no hope left. We met with 2 attorneys: Austin Vandeveer was one of the attorneys that we spoke with. We explained to him that the lawyer that we retained was not helping and that we tried to fire him and was told by him that we could not. This lawyer put my daughter into a place that we could not foresee. It was horrible! I should add: We only had a few days before meeting this lawyer again in court. Could Austin help us?! Austin cared not only about my daughter's rights as a mother, he also cared about my rights as a grandmother and her son's rights. Even though it was still cloudy, rainy and cold outside, we felt like the sun was shining down on us and things looked a lot brighter. We know that Austin is in this battle with us and we can depend on him to be honest, hardworking and upfront with us, while also showing us that he cares about family.
