Assunta Ambrosino Karris

Ms. Karris received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1996 after graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  She began her career as a lawyer working for a renowned family law firm in Oak Brook, Illinois.  From there, she went on to practice in the area of family law for other prestigious firms in Cook County.  Eventually, Ms. Karris settled on the area of personal injury and workers’ compensation law.

During this period, Ms. Karris also devoted time by performing the services of Arbitrator for the arbitration programs in Cook County and DuPage County Circuit Courts. 

Over the years, Ms. Karris developed skills as a civil trial and appellate attorney.  Now, she uses those skills to assist her divorce clients in answering Discovery, preparing for Depositions, and negotiating fair and equitable settlements.  Ms. Karris regularly appears in Cook County, as well as the collar counties of DuPage, Kane, and Will.

Ms. Karris brings compassion, exceptional skill and knowledge to each case.    She constantly strives to make a difference in the lives of her clients, while keeping her clients’ goals in mind and helping them navigate the difficult legal process.  Her clients love her style and her ability to remain calm in very highly emotional situations, while still vigorously fighting for them in and out of court.

Ms. Karris currently resides in the western suburbs with her husband and 3 sons.  She loves the outdoors, running and biking frequently.  Her favorite pastime, however, is spending time with her husband while they enjoy cheering on their children as they participate in various sports, including basketball, soccer, swimming, track and volleyball.
