Ashlynn McCarthy

Ashlynn McCarthy grew up in central Mississippi, where she attended high school and graduated with high honors.  She attended undergraduate university at Mississippi University for Women, where she was a member of the Gordy's Honors College and graduated magna cum laude.  During both high school and undergrad, Ashlynn was active in her community, organizing relief efforts, founding local aid agencies, and working to aid impoverished populations.

After graduating with her BA in English Literature, Mrs. McCarthy moved to California where she attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. There she earned her Juris Doctor (JD) in law.  While attending law school, Mrs. McCarthy participated in summer clerkships and professor assistantships to enhance her legal education and gain experience in family law, criminal law, business law and litigation, and more.  She also participated Roseville Municipal Counsel project on local ordinances governing medical marijuana cultivation, which included the drafting and analyzing of proposed legislation. 

After earning her JD, Ashlynn worked in the nonprofit sector, specifically in international student travel and education.  After obtaining her law license, Ashlynn has co-founded a law firm and acted as a managing partner, offering legal services in immigration and family law, business licensing, and criminal defense. Later, Ashlynn opened her own solo practice, Riveter Law, LLC.
