Ashley M. Sinclair: Preparation, Dedication, and a Sense of Humor - These are the things that define Ms. Sinclair as an attorney. Ms. Sinclair is an Arizona transplant, graduating from The College of Charleston, South Carolina, with Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Political Science and Spanish. Following her undergraduate education, Ms. Sinclair went on to receive her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree at The George Washington University Law School, where she earned the honor of graduating cum laude. Ms. Sinclair has taken two bar exams, passed them both, and achieved the third highest score on the Arizona Bar Exam.

As a result, Ms. Sinclair is aware of the emotional toll a criminal case takes on not only the person charged, but also their family and friends. Ms. Sinclair has handled a wide range of appellate cases, ranging from Rule 32 Petitions for Post-Conviction Relief, Habeas Corpus, and direct appeals. For some defendants, their criminal case was not handled diligently or there was a fundamental legal error committed, resulting in unjust punishment. Ms. Sinclair has experience dealing with the tricky appellate world and will give you an honest opinion as to whether an appellate case has issues that are worth exploring.
Ms. Sinclair has always had a passion for criminal defense, and focused primarily on criminal law throughout her law school career. Ms. Sinclair interned for the Federal Public Defender, clerked for a state trial court judge, and worked at a private criminal defense firm in Miami, Florida. Ms. Sinclair began representing clients in criminal cases during her third year of law school through a highly competitive practice program, D.C. Law Students in Court. Immediately upon graduation, Ms. Sinclair couldn’t wait to get started representing clients, and she joined a large private criminal defense firm in Phoenix, Arizona. Later, Ms. Sinclair joined another private defense firm where she also handled criminal cases, and was the chief appellate attorney.
Ms. Sinclair is a member of the State Bar of Virginia and Arizona.
