BEWARE THERE ARE MANY GOOD ATTORNEYS - THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!

I'm giving this person 1 star. If I could it would be a negative 10 star! In my 59 years this is by far the worst, most incompetent, deceptive and un-professional attorney I have EVER encountered. She was very sweet when trying to get me as a client, but it went down hill once she got my money. I had... a custody battle for my 15 year old son, his life was in her hands. She refused to meet me prior to court in her office to discuss my case. She showed up late to court, did not know the details of my case and took 3-5 minutes in the hall to come up to speed, NOT good. Her physical appearance was embarrassing with her clothes looking like from a garage sale. She didn't appear know or be liked by other attorneys in the court, The judge had to reprimand her and told her to get a copy of the courts rules, which any attorney should do PRIOR to setting foot in the court. During a hearing she failed to ask questions of witnesses thus allowing the opposing attorney all the benefit. She would many times not respond to email or phone calls leaving me in the darks as to my son's case and caused me an incredible amount of stress! On one occasion she emailed me documents from someone else's case. On two occasions she lost my payments to her and tried to claim I hadn't paid her. I had over paid her $400.00 based on our agreement when I notified her the next day she sent me a bill over the $400 amount. She stretched out my case for almost a year and a half. The court case was not that stressful but SHE caused great stress and anxiety in my life causing many sleepless night with much worry for my son. I fired her after she wouldn't return my over payment and hired a new attorney. The matter was resolved in 4 weeks in my favor! In spite of being scheduled for a trial she had never even filed for discover, which most likely have blown my case. Additionally, I had had temporary custody of my son for over a year. HOWEVER, she had never filed to stop my child support, thus letting it pile up for over a YEAR! Believe me these are just a few of the many issues this lady put me through while dragging out my case and collecting my money. *BEWARE THERE ARE MANY GOOD ATTORNEYS - THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!
