April Lynn Stancliff

April was a breath of fresh air during the process of completing our step-parent adoption. My ex was doing everything possible to make it a long and difficult process because he didn't want to be responsible for any of his back child support. We were lucky that he simply never showed up for court but... April was well prepared for if he did show up. I was confident that no matter what he tried to pull that April was ready and able to counter him and get the process done so that our family could be complete.

If I was able to choose zero stars I would. April withdrew from my case roughly 20 business days before trial as I retained her to get child support for my son. I tried going through DFCS but that was unsuccessful. Her attention to detail is lackadaisical. I contacted her expressing how I was upset ...I had to find out though the opposing party the Judge on my case has changed and she abruptly emailed me withdrawing from my case. She doesn't charge you for numerous emails/phone calls then uses that as justification for her lack of attention to detail. On another occasion she prepared a document with the incorrect spelling of my son's name when we had previously discussed how his new name was going to be. Another example of lack of attention to detail. She shows up late to represent you and has you speak to the court solicitor on her behalf when while she is texting you what to say. She did not charge me for this court appearance, as she was not there when my name was called in the courtroom and again uses not being charged a court fee as justification for her mishaps. She is a fairly new attorney and I highly suggest you retain an attorney who won't back out on you last minute. Do not put your faith in April to get the job done.

Divorce is one of the most difficult and emotionally draining experiences in life but I was truly blessed to have April on my side during it all. Even my ex-husband said that I had a really good attorney. I was married over 20 years and my spouse was a member of the military which added an additiona...l layer to the normal factors that arise in divorce. To further complicate matters I was in the middle of a federal disability claim when the divorce happened. To say my case was complicated seems like an understatement. However, April was a true pro throughout it all. She was knowledgeable about not only GA state law but the military laws involved and the disability component as it related to my divorce. I had a different disability attorney. April assisted me with obtaining a temporary court order when my ex stopped paying me which was critical as the divorce process took almost a year to complete. She explained everything she was doing and why it was important even necessary in some instances to do things a specific way. She was understanding of my situation and cared about my feelings enough to truly listen to what issues where important to me. I knew that if she was advising me to do something I could trust her judgment. And trust is so important when your future is literally dependant on the outcome of a case. You want April in your corner at a time like that and I was very fortunate to have her. Not only did she successfully argue my case so that I was awarded lifetime medical coverage which my ex was trying to block me from she also got me the full alimony I was seeking, child support and a large portion of my legal fees paid by my ex husband. There was more that she was able to get awarded but lets just say my ex never had a chance with April at the wheel. She is more than just your lawyer she is your champion and when you are already in a stressful situation as it is you need someone like that to fight for you. I highly recommend April. Her level of dedication and knowledge of the law is exceptional. I will never be able to thank her enough for all that she has done for me and my kids.

April was one of the attorneys for my modification of child support/alimony case. She is so thorough. She reviewed every document with great detail. Thus we were So prepared in court. I don't have enough words. She knew the case backward and forward. She really listened to me and made a diff...icult situation a little easier. Her hard work contributed to the very best outcome I could have had in my case.

Ms. Stancliff helped me with a child support modification. From our first conversation on the phone she was very campassionate, professional and thorough in her questions. I felt I was in great hands. When we meet in person, my first impression was correct. Over the time it took to prepare the case, ...Ms Stancliff stayed the same way. If I had questions she answered the same day, always professional and never judgemental. This was my first experience with a lawyer so I didn't know what to expect. Ms. Stancliff was flexible with my work hours and came to me if she needed to pick up paperwork or drop it off. The day of the trial I was confidient in Ms.Stancliff ablility to protray my case to the judge. Again, I was not wrong with my confidience in Ms. Stancliff abilities. A.S, had all her questions, and supporting documents ready. I was awarded a modification to my child support from all of the supporting document and Ms. Stancliff's professionalism. As a new lawyer I could since a little nervousness but that goes with doing anything new. It's good to be nervous, it shows you care about the outcome. Ms.Stancliff is on her way to becoming an exceptional lawyer. If I was to ever need or knew of anyone in need of a lawyer I would defiantly recommend Ms April Stancliff.
