April Boutillette Brinkman

I financed my daughter's child custody and divorce, paying the flat lawyer fees requested by Ms. Brinkman. All went well UNTIL Lee, her paralegal, left for personal reasons in mid 2015. Then things started to "not get done". It did not go well, as we prepared for the court case, Ms. Brinkman infor...med my daughter that she was not prepared for trial, had not conducted asset searches as she told us she would do, and told my daughter that if she didn't sign the papers from her abusive husband's (who owns a business in Vancouver, Wa.) lawyer, we would lose in court, because she was had not prepared, as she had been overworked. At one point, she threatened to charge extra, even though I have e-mails from her that stated that her originals fees covered through completion of trial. The final settlement: less than $300/mo. child support for 2 children, no alimony, no recovery of fees (which we had requested that she try to obtain).

OUTSTANDING billing rate AND exemplary results. Another attorney quoted me a 5-figure price to essentially say he was going to throw me under the bus. So I went to April Brinkman's office, and was given a fantastic price for billing - a fraction of the other attorney's rate - and was told my case... was a travesty and unjust. She then went on to marshal resources from across the state and got my case resolved completely to my satisfaction. I was very satisfied and would hire this attorney again.
