COMPLETE MISREPRENTED BY THIS ATTORNEY

Ms. Wooten was extremely damaging to my case. I was the plaintiff. She failed to file the case on time and I had to go file pro-se on the last day or I would have lost the right to sue, though she had 180 days to file. She failed to depose the defendants, she failed to submit discovery given by m...e. She failed to obtain discovery from the defendants. When she realized that her lack of work jeopardized her case, (this is now 2 years later), she asked the Judge to have her removed from the case. Ms Wooten completely wasted my time and she is also very unethical. She charged me $350 filing fee and when we filed pro-se and the fee was waived, she refuses to pay the money back. Knowing that she completely damaged my case, it is the least she could have done. Find yourself a real lawyer.

Mr. Capdesuner, Mr. Toledo and Mr. Sanchez opted to file pro se even though the statue of limitations had not run on their 90 day right to sue. Neither Mr. Capdesuner, Mr. Toledo nor Mr. Sanchez understood that federal holidays allotted for additional time to the calculation for the 90 period. Mr. Capdesuner, Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Toledo requested that I make changes to their complaints two days before the date I intended to file. I decided to withdraw from Mr. Capdesuner, Mr. Toledo and Mr. Sanchez's cases for ethical reasons after their depositions were completed. I found it unethical and impossible to continue as their counsel or to oppose defendants' Motion for Summary Judgment. Mr. Capdesuner, Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Toledo required a Spanish interpreter. I paid for the Spanish interpreters' services and billed Mr. Capdesuner, Mr. Toledo and Mr. Sanchez for the interpreters expenses pursuant to their retainers. Mr. Capdesuner also incurred expenses for long distance telephone calls. I determined that Mr. Capdesuner, Mr. Toledo and Mr. Sanchez's cases were impossible to win based on their depositions.

Thankful to be heard

It was difficult for me to find someone to really hear me and after some difficulty with another firm I was pressed for time to find another attorney. Ms Wooten was recommended to me and after speaking with her I felt comfortable that she was listening to me. She was very specific about facts, proc...edure and the laws regarding my case. If there was something I didn't understand, she had no problem explaining to me in verbiage I understood. I felt that I could trust that anything that needed to be done was being done. Overall very pleasant experience during a very unpleasant time.

Bully Bosses, watch out!

I was wrongfully terminated from a job for reporting unethical practices and unsafe working conditions. The termination happened on the heels of me being displaced by Superstorm Sandy. The defendant attempted to hide behind "at will employment," but Attorney Wooten helped me to compile my records and... gather various affidavits and such. I can't say much more than that due to the confidentiality of the settlement, but I had a very favorable outcome. What please me most about working with her is her bedside manner. Losing one's job is extremely stressful and she encouraged me every step of the way and helped me stay focused and positive. It was a pleasure to watch her go up against the opposition's high-priced, spit and polished attorneys without being intimidated. In 2014, David can still slay Goliath - if s/he has a good lawyer like Attorney Wooten.
