Anne Elizabeth Gibson

I hired Anne at the rate of 300$ an hour for custody, 2 years later Anne has not worked 1 hour on this case, has not returned my funds, has not given me 1 account statement, even after directly asking for it. She is incompetent to practice law, she lied in open court to the judge after failing to fil...e paperwork on time. She does not work diligently on any case, she does not communicate at all. It has been over 400 days since I last spoke with Anne, she avoids my calls and never calls back, she has not worked 1 day on the case since. No phone calls. No motions filed. Nothing that Anne has said she would do, motions etc, has been done. If you look at her google reviews you will see many similar complaints. I have filed action against her for malpractice as a result and also filed with the Disciplinary Board of New Mexico to have her license removed. A dishonest person that lies in court, fails to give client accounting information as requested, and fails to communicate or work their case for over 400 days after being paid at the rate of 300$ an hour should not be allowed to practice law. Mind you this case is 700 days old. Save yourself the hassle and find a competent lawyer.. She is not.

I hired this attorney. At our initial consultation she promised many things, however never delivered on ANY of her promises. She took my money and ran. At my hearing, and of course AFTER taking my money in full she THEN informed me she was no longer going to represent me due to her taking a new job e...lsewhere. She knew of this new job BEFORE we even met, but still made false promises. She never answered her phone, never was in her office, and rarely replied to emails. When I did talk to her, all she talked about was her son, daughter, and husband. She never showed any concern for me and my case as her client. I did ask her for my money back, but of course was not given back a dime. I feel this lady is a scam. Go elsewhere with your hard earned money!

No one wants to have the divorce that cost 29,000 dollars like I have had. My ex has fought every single step of the way, even though she was in the wrong with just about all of it. The legal process has the potential to balloon greater then you ever thought, greater then I ever thought. I initially ...hired a different lawyer who spent 15,000 dollars and managed to accomplish only a few things. Needless to say I was less then pleased with their performance and took the steps to terminate their employment with me. I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth and out 15,000 dollars wondering what I was going to do and how I was ever going to get through the rest of the process. That is when I was introduced to Mrs. Gibson; she stepped in and stopped the bleeding from the case, got everything back on track and has been in my corner ever since and fighting hard. Although the cost of this divorce has continued, I can say with confidence that If I had another lawyer less capable then Mrs. Gibson, my costs would far exceed 40,000 and would probably still be continuing to this day. My case is an extreme example, I think, when it comes to divorces. But you need to understand what the difference between a bad lawyer and a good one can make. She will be your corner working for you to ensure that you are well informed with the progress of your case, keep you on track to finish in a swift manner without compromising the case in any way and leverage her many years of experience to make sure you will come out of your divorce in the best possible way. As long as you are honest with her, conduct yourself in a respectable manner and listen to her when she tells you when something is a good idea to do or not, I can assure you that there is no better lawyer out there for your divorce needs. Sometimes, we need protection from ourselves. She even kept me from making what would have turned out to be some bone headed decisions. So believe me when I say that hiring anyone else could not only cost you during your divorce but also many more years to come.
