Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi

Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi reigns over 20 years of experience in law as a former New York City homicide prosecutor. She earned her law degree at Brooklyn Law School before beginning her career at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office in 1995. Anna-Sigga served in the office for 21 years (1995-2017) and fulfilled 16 years of her career in the office’s Homicide Bureau, with her most recent role being Chief of Trials. Her cases and prosecutorial style have been profiled in local and national publications, including the New York Times, New York Magazine, and Vanity Fair.

In addition to her law practice, Anna-Sigga often appears as a legal analyst on television networks and provides lectures and teachings nationwide. She has participated as faculty at Harvard Law School’s esteemed program, the winter Trial Advocacy Workshop, since 2015. In 2008, Ms. Nicolazzi received the National District Attorneys Association’s Home Run Hitter Award, awarded by peers from across the nation. In 2005, she was the inaugural recipient of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York’s Thomas E. Dewey Medal, awarded annually to outstanding assistant district attorneys in New York’s five boroughs.

Since leaving the Homicide Bureau, Nicolazzi has entered the media industry as host and co-executive producer of the true-crime television series, True Conviction. The Investigation Discovery program is in production of its third season and highlights the work and experiences of homicide prosecutors, law enforcement, and victims’ families around the country. Anna-Sigga is also the creator and co-host of the recently launched podcast, Anatomy of Murder. The weekly podcast provides listeners a unique insider perspective on homicide cases and the path to justice for victims.
