i had a consultation with Ms. Stepanova. She was the very first attorney we approached to discuss the possibility of applying for GC in EB1 Outstanding Researcher category. The consultation fee was $200 for 20 minutes! We didn't know how unreasonable this was until we started meeting with other lawye...rs after we met with her. Ms. Stepanova took all of 10 minutes to tell us that our case was hopeless! She was in a hurry to leave after that and the receptionist stepped in exactly 20 minutes later to say that 'her next client is waiting'. She didn't even indulge our views because she already made up her mind that taking up our case will not guarantee results. We were actually giving her more information about the process and she kept shooting us down before hearing us out. It was very clear that she is extremely new to this and does not have enough knowledge about immigration. Being the first lawyer we approached, it is an understatement to say that we were extremely demoralized and lost confidence until we met our current attorney. Our current attorney gave us free 1 hour consultation (there were other lawyers who did the same or charged less than $200 for 1 hour session) and was extremely encouraging while discussing the reality of our case. I am very glad to inform that we got our Green card approved! Thank God we did not trust Ms. Stepanova's judgement. Please approach someone with more experience in immigration because Ms. Stepanova sorely lacks experience in this field while overcharging the clients.
