Anna’s assistant drafted u my complaint getting information wrong in the end all she did was say they promised o give me a higher position but it I wanted to move forward I had to pay her (Why would I want to pay you when you could...n’t get results working without pay). Anna informed me that f anything happened afterwards to lease call her back. Well to my surprise I dd, but I had t pay her a fee just for her to hear that. As laid off without warning after she told me my job would promote me! To make matters worse she had the nerve to send me an email to promote her Life coach business!! What a joke! Don’t waste your time with this lawyer if you’re a minority and wasn’t born with money!!!!

Anna couldn't have come into my life at a better time. I was going through an incredibly toxic and abusive situation with a former employee(one of the major medical centers in the region). Anna answered the phone herself when I called and took the time to listen. I went on to obtain a consultation fr...om her, and immediately felt at ease in the presence of her calm composed presence. After deciding to retain her, there were times where I remember feeling frustrated and wishing that she would be more aggressive, but in hind sight her composure and restraint were exactly what I needed with my case. Anna had basically gone behind the scenes and taken the time to understand the full weight of the situation I was in, and she knew full well that being more aggressive was a really bad option for me. Anna had taken the time to understood how manipulative, sinister, and evil the powers my former employee was able to wield against me given the institutions in play. Anna was able to maintain enough leverage to keep the wolves at bay and negotiated the best possible outcome given my situation. Anna's hourly rates are reasonable, and in my case that was really appreciated because the overall cost of my representation ended up being significant. The complexity of the situation required someone brilliant to go through every last detail with a fine comb. For me that someone brilliant was Anna, and she ended up being worth her weight in gold. Thank you so much Anna, my life wouldn't be the same today without you. If you hadn't been there when I needed you most, I'd still be picking up the pieces.

I hired Anna Shapiro to represent me for a prenuptial agreement after seeing all her positive reviews. Both Anna and my partner’s attorney said that our prenuptial agreement would be a straightforward matter because neither of us had complicated assets. My partner’s attorney drafted the agreement and... I had Anna and her associate review it. Throughout working with Anna and her associate, their communication with me was extremely lacking. They made significant changes to the agreement, that resulted in an essential rewrite of the draft, but never spoke to me about what changes they were going to make and why. They also included some language in the agreement that had the potential to be harmful to me in the future and could also make it easier to invalidate the prenup due to the complexity. I had spoken to Anna’s associate before they rewrote the agreement and they never mentioned which content they planned to change or that they planned to rewrite it. When I later talked to Anna and her associate about the changes and why they didn’t inform me beforehand, their response was, “We don’t know the changes we’ll make until we make them.” Their rewrite of the agreement resulted in a lot of back and forth between the attorneys, something that could have been avoided had Anna and her associate spoken with me to explain and receive my consent for the changes they were going to make prior to making them. My partner’s attorney would call my partner before every edit and made sure they explained the draft’s contents before my partner approved it. Anna and her associate did not do that with me. They simply sent the document and (in an email) told me to reach out to them with any questions. Anna and her associate had multiple meetings together, which I was never apprised of what they discussed. They also had multiple meetings with my partner’s attorney, and I was also never told about what took place or was discussed. Though Anna and her attorney did include some useful definitions and clarifications to the prenuptial agreement, her communication with me was poor and I felt uninformed throughout the whole process. The end result of working with Anna was a nearly $8,000 bill for a simple, straightforward prenup. I trusted the 5-star reviews that other clients had written about Anna; however, Anna and her associate’s communication with me made me feel like my case was a low priority for them and they didn’t have the time to spend on it as they would have if I had a more complex case.
