Anika Boyce is a native of Orlando and a dedicated advocate for individuals and families throughout Central Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree in English, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law.
Following law school, Anika returned home to Orlando to serve as an Assistant Public Defender, where she gained extensive courtroom experience representing clients in a wide range of criminal matters, including juvenile offenses, domestic violence cases, misdemeanors, and serious felonies. As a criminal defense attorney, she has successfully handled 19 jury trials and 9 bench trials, sharpening her reputation as a strategic and fearless advocate inside the courtroom.
In addition to her criminal defense practice, Anika has experience in civil litigation with a focus on personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, trucking accidents, slip and fall incidents, and premises liability claims. Her diverse legal background allows her to advocate effectively for clients facing some of life’s most difficult and uncertain moments.
Beyond her legal practice, Anika is deeply committed to community leadership and mentorship. She previously served as Chair of the Membership Committee for the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association and has participated in civic and political engagement initiatives throughout the community. She is also passionate about mentoring young people and exposing them to opportunities within the legal profession.
