Amy Schroder graduated from the University of California at Irvine magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at UCI Amy was a member of the UCI Law Forum. She continues to support the organization through the Alumni Association and its efforts to introduce undergraduate students to the importance of the ethical practice of law.

After graduating from UCI, Amy attended Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California. At Chapman, Amy was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and worked as an editor for the Lexus Journal of Law and Policy. Amy earned her Juris Doctor degree and passed the California State Bar Exam on her first attempt. Amy continued her education, receiving her Master of Laws in Trial Advocacy from Chapman.

Following law school, Amy worked as a prosecutor for the Orange County District Attorney. As a Deputy D.A., Amy prosecuted numerous felony and misdemeanor criminal cases and she brings this knowledge and experience to her criminal defense practice on the Central Coast.

In addition to volunteering as an Attorney-Coach for the Constitutional Rights Foundation Mock Trial Program, Amy has been an active member and on the board of numerous Bar Associations, including, the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, West Orange County Bar Association (Secretary), Orange County Women Lawyers Association, and The William P. Gray Legion Lex American Inn of Court (Secretary).

1st DUI
I received my first DUI almost three years ago and wanted to forget about it right away, this review is long overdue. Amy helped navigate me through the entire process. She answered all of my questions right away and handled the case well. If I had to go through this all over again I would hire Amy (although I won't have to because I've learned my lesson)

2nd DUI Case
I hired Amy for my 2nd DUI defense and I'm very glad I did. From the beginning, she made it very clear to my what the strategy and plan was for my case, and delivered as promised. She was easy to communicate with, and more importantly, she showed she genuinely cared. Unfortunately, I was kicked out of my court-mandated DUI program and had to be back in front of a judge, but Amy, without hesitation, assured me not to worry and that she would show up on my behalf and take care of things -- which she did. Overall, my experience with Amy was pleasant and stress-free. I would easily recommend her to anybody unfortunately dealing with a DUI. Thanks again, Amy

Amy provided professional, competent, and friendly representation for my third DUI case. I felt that I was in great hands while Amy handled my case. Goes the Extra Mile
Amy helped me understand my rights as a victim in my ex-husband;s domestic violence case. She was very information and respectful of my situation. Although she did not need to, she followed up me me multiple times and made herself available to me when I needed her. She is very professional and willing to go the extra mile for her clients. I feel so blessed to have been able to work with someone so dedicated during this difficult time in my life.

Professional, Helpful Lawyer
My case closed a few months ago, but I am just now having the time to revisit this and leave this review. I live in Wisconsin, and not in California where the Misdemeanor crime took place and so I needed to hire an attorney who could represent me at all of the court dates so that I could come back home and go to school. Amy Shroeder was the nicest, most empathetic individual I could have asked for. She helped me so much, and I have no idea what I would have done without her. She explained everything very clearly and she definitely made sure everything was done on my terms, while at the same time giving me unbiased legal advice. I would recommend her absolutely, 100% to anyone who needs help with any sort of criminal case.

Ease of mind
My wife was cited for traffic violations (fix it tickets and an expired license) when she was in her third trimester of pregnancy. We certainly believe the oversight on these items were due to the focus on our first child. With the both of us having many things on our plate and a fast arriving court date that my wife could not attend, we hired Amy Schroder. Amy represented my wife and handled the situation perfectly. The court date was one less thing to worry about and we got the results that we wanted. Amy was responsive, professional and easy to work with. I recommend hiring her.
