Amy Lara Rokuson

Starting with our first phone conference, I liked Amy immediately. She was clearly smart, tough, and thoroughly professional. When she reviewed my mediation agreement, she realized that there was language needed to further protect me in my particular case, which she added and had my ex approve and si...gn. When contacting Amy or her assistant Alison, calls, e-mails, and texts are answered promptly, sometimes after hours. Extra measures were taken to ensure, as much as possible, that my day in court went as smoothly as possible. It did. The whole legal process can be confusing, but she takes the time to explain the steps along the way and answer any questions. I’ve had friends – and even my own mother – who felt cheated by their divorce attorneys – even changing lawyers several times. In my entire experience with Amy I felt I was in very competent hands and lucky that she had my back.

I came to Amy after my ex's attorney wanted to tear apart our mediation agreement put together by a well respected professional in the area that specializes in divorce mediation. I asked Amy to look at all the facts of our divorce and determine what is a fair spilt of assets that would likely be app...roved by a judge if things went that far. Amy determined the existing mediation agreement was fair and would most likely stand additional scrutiny by a judge. Amy then crafted a response to my ex's attorney and with firm but fair pushback we got this settled. Amy did not attempt to start a war or prolong the process at all. She was instrumental in us moving forward with what ended up being very, very close to the original mediation agreement. Amy was responsive to my emails and maintained a high level of understanding of the divorce details during the entire process. I would definitely use Amy again, but no chance. One divorce is more than enough for me.
