White Knight Collection Experience

I hired Mr. Holcomb to help me collect $13,000+ from two attorneys that my firm had worked for in March of this year (2019). Both attorneys resided out of state and both of them told me that the other owed the money. After 5-1/2 months of constant emails and phone calls for payment, in desperation,... I discounted the bill by a third and gave a final demand for approximately $9000 to be paid by both attorneys in four equal payments. I gave them 10 days to accept my offer. One attorney responded the very day he received my email but he wanted a release for half; his co-counsel did not respond. Because only one attorney responded, I called my prior collection attorney who advised me to take half and be glad that I got that much. As I could foresee that I was not going to get this debt collected, even with a discount and even with a more than generous payment plan, and because my other collection attorney was not offering any hope of collecting this debt without throwing a lot of good money after bad, I decided I needed a second legal opinion. I initially chose Mr. Holcomb because he had great Internet reviews from others who had hired him. My own experience was even better than I had hoped for: Mr. Holcomb reviewed the facts of my situation, asking for pertinent documentation, which I sent him and he reviewed. After the review, he called me and said to wait for the 10 days of my settlement offer to expire and offered to take on my "difficult" case for a flat fee, telling me, in effect, that his experience told him he'd have my money in three days. I told him to "be prepared to be ignored." The day after my settlement offer expired, the second attorney wrote an email saying that she was prepared to accept my offer, but told me that I needed to wait until she got back from vacation a week later. My timeline and payment terms for payment, apparently, were irrelevant to her. On Monday morning, I sent over my flat fee to Mr. Holcomb. By Monday afternoon, he drafted the complaint and sent it along with the demand for the entire amount plus some of my legal fees to both counsel. By Tuesday morning both debtor counsel were working hard on a solution to get me paid. By Tuesday at 1:00, I was paid the entire debt, plus some of my attorney fees. Today is Wednesday, and I am starting my day writing an excellent review for Mr. Holcomb. Alan, thank you very much for your help! Words cannot really express the great relief that I feel to finally be paid for all of our hard work.

Highly Recommend!!!

Alan is a wizard with lightning speed attack! He is always clear, communicative, extremely efficient. He has exceeded my expectations. As a result of his expertise, I am now collecting from a judgment I had been trying to collect for over 3 years. I would highly recommend Alan as your attorney.

HIGHLY Recommend

Mr. Holcomb represented our business in domesticating a judgement from another state and collecting from a former customer located in Arizona. From first contact (months prior to retaining his services) Mr. Holcomb's firm was highly communicative, responsive and diligent. After making the decision t...o retain his services, our expectations were continually exceeded. Mr. Holcomb's approach with the debtor was swift, firm, direct and no-nonsense. After putting a years-long matter to bed with full satisfaction of judgement, Mr. Holcomb also wrapped our engagement as professionally as it began. Mr Holcomb is a results-driven, consummate professional, and our company is better off as a result of his services. We couldn't more highly recommend!

Alan Holcomb

We retained Mr. Holcomb to represent our business in domesticating a judgement based in a different state. During this time, not only was Mr. Holcomb highly successful, but he was also extremely communicative, gracious, explanatory and in his efforts. We obtained the desired outcome and we could not ...have done it without Mr. Holcomb. I would highly recommend Mr. Holcomb to anyone who is seeking swift and professional action on any collection related matter.

"I worked with Alan on a personal injury case in which multiple parties were injured. The case went to litigation. I learned a lot working with Alan. He was diligent in his investigation and passionate in his representation. Alan’s work benefited both of our clients and contributed to a resolution of the case in which our clients were fairly compensated for their damages. I highly recommend Alan in all areas of his legal practice and look forward to working with him again."

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I was a defense attorney for a major insurance company. I worked with them for 26 years before retiring to do mediation work. When I worked for the insurance company as defense counsel, Alan and I had a case against each other. He represented a Plaintiff who was very seriously injured in a car accident that was my client's fault. I found Alan to be very competent and good to work with. He was very thorough in handling of the case, worked quickly and hard, and got a very good settlement for his client. He is a true gentleman. One thing that I noticed with Alan that separates him from other attorneys that I have worked with is that he seems to have a special relationship with his clients. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has been injured in an accident. Bud Roberts Esq."
