Maurice was able to achieve a very good outcome in my case because he was able to get past the purely emotional elements and apply the law that he knows so well. I really appreciated the fact that he kept much of the focus on what was best for my children. His proactive approach to developing a case record supported by legal precedent was huge for helping get an equitable resolution.
Mr. Ellis is extremely knowledgeable and will teach you the laws that apply to your case. He does this to ensure you have a good understanding of what you're about to go through, why and what's fair in the courts' eyes. He is honest and a straight shooter. He doesn't beat around the bush or give false hope. He gives facts and he expects facts from his clients. I first saw Mr. Ellis as a consultant for my dissolution. After that interaction I knew if I needed further custody assistance that I would retain him. I did just that, 5 years after my dissolution. People change and you have zero control over what your ex will do, the choices they'll make or who they bring around your child "on their time." It can be an extremely stressful time. Those are the times you need a professional like Mr. Ellis. Mr. Ellis took my case(s), advised me what information he needed and put the information out there to the judge that needed to be seen and heard. He did not include information that was not relevant. With his expertise he knew what the judge would need to know to understand the root of the issues to modify my custody agreement. I would trust Mr. Ellis with my life entirely. He was very dedicated to assist in protecting my child.

He knows the law well and represented me very well, I highly recommend him
Maurice was the only attorney I interviewed out of ten who would give answers that were reassuring, like what the law states and how that applies to me, so many just say "i cant promise you anything!!!" but not maurice, My ex wanted everything, kids, house, to never work again, etc... Maurice told me what was my fair part to expect out of the divorce according to the law and then he got me everything he said was rightfully mine. He skillfully revealed in court what an abusive, manipulative, and controlling person my ex spouse was, he made her lose her cool repeatedly on the stand with just the simplest of questions and reveal who she really was. He didn't waste time or money, he cut to what he knew the judge wanted to hear about and avoided wasting time with things that were irrelevant.
He was professional, knowledgeable, successful always in gaining what we asked for and he repeatedly told me when to not waste my time fighting and wasting money on issues that were irrelevant or not going to produce any gain.
Maurice was exceptionally skilled at getting my ex wife to contradict herself and walk into every trap possible when she was on the stand, i can't say enough, that he is good in trial... that is where he really shines, if you need to reveal to the judge who your soon to be ex really is then he can help you.

Trust him with my life!!!
Mo told me how my divorce was going to go, step by step. He told me what i was going to get and what i wasn't going to get.
In reality he Kicked my exwife's attorneys ass so bad she fired her Attorney and got another,
He then proceded to kick the second attorneys ass.
I put my life in his hands and he saved my bacon.... i don't know how i will repay him....

Not Enthusiastic
Seemed to be putting minimal effort into our case. Didn't get correct information into court filings. Kept saying he was trying to save us money by minimizing time, but it felt like an excuse.
