Do Not HIRE!!!

I hire Pacific Northwest Family Law and received Mr. Rose as my attorney, I never spoke to him once during my divorce proceedings. Instead all I got was a recent law graduate that was not even qualified to give me legal advice and only spoke to his paralegal. Communication was lacking. I was never pr...operly advised and mislead. All this office did was burn through my retainer, raise their rates while I was an active client and had already signed an hourly agreement, and never call me back.

David rose at PNW Family Law

To share my experience working with Attorney David Rose. While initially I had high hopes for his representation, several issues arose that significantly impacted my case and my trust in his abilities. I Hired Mr. Rose for a collection of judgement from a previous divorce handled by his office. Throu...ghout the course of my case, there were instances where communication was lacking. Emails and phone calls often went unanswered, and I frequently had to follow up multiple times to get a response. This lack of responsiveness made it challenging to stay informed about the status of my case and caused a great deal of frustration. David Rose failed to meet critical deadlines, which had serious consequences for my case. Important responses were not filed on time, and his failure to provide timely responses led to unnecessary delays. These delays not only extended the duration of my case but additional hearings and "preparation" charged also added to my legal expenses. His approach appeared to lack strategic planning and coherence, leading to a waste of both time and money. Overall, my experience with David Rose was disappointing and frustrating. I would advise others to consider this when selecting representation. I terminated our agreement to hire another attorney to finish my case and requested a refund of my funds from the trust and although he never filed a motion and never appeared to a hearing or made any movement on my case he claims he used all of my trust and actually billed me for additional money. David rose and his office sent letter communications to an address I did not provide to them and had no resided at for 4 years. I never received any written communication because from him because of this.

This lack of responsiveness made it challenging to stay informed about the status of my case and caused a great deal of frustration. These delays not only extended the duration of my case but additional hearings and "preparation" charged also added to my legal expenses. There was an instance where David Rose filed a redundant motion that did not advance my case and only served to deposit and increase legal costs. His approach appeared to lack strategic planning and coherence, leading to a waste of both time and money. Overall, my experience with David Rose was disappointing and frustrating. I would advise others to consider this when selecting representation.

Do NOT Hire

Meetings are held, and billed for, where "notes" are taken. There isn't any indication that the notes taken are ever looked at after the meeting. Instead, multiple meetings providing the same information are done over and over. Each meeting is billed for. Facts are never kept straight between m...eetings. One meeting started with David Rose stating that a family member was dead. That family member is very much alive. Months will go by without any information. Clients are told not to worry but, they should. The case will be dragged out, until the other side starts screaming. Then the billing really adds up as the issues raised by the other side have to be addressed. The electronic filing system is a mess. If documents have been uploaded to their electronic system, they can't easily recall them. The documents will have to be provided to them again. They also forget to share files with their client. Requests for a timeline and budget estimate will be ignored. Expenses will continue past the initial deposit/retainer without a plan drafted for closure or estimate of how much more it will cost. Issues with billing are not corrected. It's been several months of attempting to correct billing, and get answers for what is being billed for, and it's no closer to a resolution. Deals are made without client's knowledge. Clients aren't told when court dates are cancelled. Clients will sit thru entire sessions only to be told at the end of the session and find out from the court that it was reported an agreement was made. In such agreements, 8 AM meet-ups are made for someone driving 6 hours to make it and no guidance is provided when the other party messages the morning of saying they can't make the 8 AM meet-up. The firm will wait until the other side's lawyer is screaming and it's late in the day to finally provide guidance on how to proceed. David Rose expects clients to just know things. He doesn't explain what is happening. When things go wrong, he will tell the client that they "should have known" whatever information they didn't. Any mistakes are automatically the client's per David Rose. David Rose will take no responsibility. One example is when a document isn't drafted or filed for almost half a year that should have been. David Rose will tell the client that it's the client's fault it wasn't filed. The worst example of something the client "should have known" is a child going on a visit, except they don't return. Then the client "should have known" that the child wasn't returning and shouldn't have reported it to the police as that was a plan that the client was supposed to have known without anyone telling them. Any disagreement with David Rose will result in his attempting to talk over the client and force his way. He will not listen to the client if it isn't something he wants to hear. If in person, David Rose will tower over the client and lean into their face in hopes of intimidating them. David Rose will also laugh at clients in an attempt to make them feel silly for disagreeing with him. Clients will leave meetings feeling battered/abused. David Rose will even make a joke about that feeling as he escorts the client to the door. Should you choose to hire this firm/lawyer anyway after reading this, get everything in writing. All the promises David Rose will make and not keep. The constant meetings for the same information. The mistakes. Document everything. Then you'll at least have the documentation to report to the Professional Board of Conduct. Zach Ashby, the owner of the branch/firm, will not intervene to assist when issues are raised to his level. You have to state that you will report the firm in order to get any small response from Zach Ashby.
