Alan is a great lawyer, he is supportive when you think the worst and really knows his stuff. After years of court everything wrapped up smoothly and I don't think I could have done it without him.
Thank you Alan for everything.
Alan helped me through my parenting plan and the financial problems I was facing. He was very professional and was the guy I could call up and ask questions any time.
I would definitely recommend him if you're doing family court.
I entered the bar in 1992 and have been in solo practice, emphasizing family law matters, since 1994. I'm a divorced parent myself and know from personal experience how family law matters like divorce, child custody and support can impact a family. I've represented probably over 1,000 clients over the last 21 years in all aspects of such cases.
The vast majority of family law cases settle without having to go through the stress and financial hardships of a trial. The court strongly encourages that families resolve their matters through negotiation rather than contest them in court because people are rarely satisfied with the outcome of a case if it is left in the hands of a judge who knows relatively little about your family, no matter how much testimony is given. If you have children, you still have to have some sort of working relationship with the other parent whether after a divorce, legal separation or the break-up of a people who are not married but who have children together. In the Benton/Franklin Counties area probably 85% or more of family law matters are ultimately resolved by some sort of out of court settlement.
So while there are certainly short term goals, I encourage my clients to think about the long term and the effects that their decisions and actions will have not only on themselves but on their children in the years and even decades to come. As an attorney my role is to see that your case is properly and effectively presented to the court, to ensure that all matters are covered, to advocate your position and to advise you as to the ins and outs and ramifications of such litigation. In the end you as the client have the final choice in the matter. My role is to ensure you are making an informed choice, fully understanding what your rights and obligations are under the law in regards to your children, property and related financial obligations.
What about myself? I have two adult sons, a companion I share my life with and currently four cats that I'm a butler for. I'm an alumni of Outward Bound, the premier outdoor education program in the world and enjoy whitewater rafting throughout the Pacific Northwest----if you can go on an Outward Bound trip, I can almost guarantee you it will be one of the most meaningful experiences you'll ever have in your lifetime.
I'm also been involved in community theater as an actor and singer, performing in all sorts of shows such as "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Sweeney Todd," "Proof," "Bus Stop," "Picnic," "Assassins" and "An Enemy of the People" (I tend towards serious stuff).
I was also the attorney of record in the first case in world legal history involving the scientific phenomenon of human chimerism. The case has been profiled numerous times on TV programs throughout the world, most recently in Japan and Britain. The case received printed articles in magazines in such places as Mexico, Finland, Iraq, Vietnam and Australia. The first of these profiles, "I Am My Own Twin" is shown often on the Discovery Health Channel. The case has been the basis of stories on several TV programs including "House" and "CSI" and a couple of years ago was the inspiration for an off-Broadway theater production in New York City called "Chimera". I sometimes stoke rumors that either Russell Crowe or Tom Cruise will play me in the movie version some day. . .

Came Though for Me During a Really Rough Time
Alan Tindell helped me with a child custody and parenting plan when I didn't know where else to go. He was very affordable and I feel I got more than my money's worth. Some other attorneys were asking exorbitant retainers and left me feeling like they would not actually do that much work for me. I was working out of town when my case went to court and Alan assured me he had it all handled and there were no worries. And there weren't. He took care of everything even while I was on the East Coast working. It was such a relief. I turn to him often when I need additional help. I would highly recommend him as an actual caring, affordable attorney who will get the job done.

Loyal and trustworthy
Alan was patient, knowledgeable, persuasive, friendly, prompt, organized - and always there for you 24/7. The divorce case took 3 years and went through mediation - then a dragged out incapacitance trial and then property division trial. Now it is still in the appeal process. Through it all what surprised me most was his ability to remember all the little details and the dates. His ability to focus on the case and its crucial details without going off topic, and to stand by me through it all. His ability to let me know honestly what might/might not be a waste of time and effort and money has earned my trust in him. Working with him I learned a lot more about Law and the way judges think and give their decisions. He is one fantastic lawyer - who is worth every penny of his fees, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is in dire need of a lawyer.

Highly Recommended!
Alan was a life-saver. I had a terrible attorney previous to him and had to find one on short notice. Alan was so easy to work with and willing to help - I couldn't be more grateful.
Alan was very upfront about fees, was sympathetic to my plight, and was very candid about actions that would be a waste of money.
What I most appreciated was that Alan was responsive. He always answered emails and voicemails promptly and was available to me over the weekend when something urgent came up.
Alan always let me know what the next steps were, what to expect in court, and was very patient with my many questions. He also was very familiar with the facts of the case and argued very competently and in detail. I was very impressed that he had obviously spent a lot of time getting to know the facts.
Alan is also just a friendly guy - I don't think I ever had a meeting with him that didn't involve him telling an entertaining story that would inevitably make me laugh, which was much needed and much appreciated.
I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do, I will definitely be using Alan Tindell. Highly recommended!

Excellent
Alan Tindell represented me during my recent divorce. Knowing that my children had so much to lose, and that I knew NOTHING about divorce and child custody, I was very apprehensive about finding representation. It only took me a matter of minutes after meeting Alan to know that he was what my little family needed during the divorce.
Alan was always prompt. He returned emails and calls quickly-even on the weekend and was willing to schedule or reschedule appointments at a moment's notice. He worked around my schedule, and was always welcoming to my three distracting children that I often brought with me (two one year olds and a 4 year old). He prepared me for what was ahead and always focused on what was best for the children. He was pleasant, intelligent, stuck to the facts, and was always kind to the other party (my ex and his lawyer). In the end, both my ex and I are pleased with the outcome and we are able to get along well. I don't believe this would have been the case if I would have used someone who wanted to fight and create tension. Having gone through a divorce himself and raising children after a divorce, Alan had tremendous amounts of advice that I am so thankful for. He was often quite entertaining, full of stories, and made sure I left the office with a smile on my face.
I will be using him in the near future for an adoption and would recommend him to even my closest of friends.

Accolade to Alan Tindell for a job well done!
This is a sincere review of Mr. Tindell as an attorney in Tri-Cities Washington State. Mr. Tindell kindly accepted my case when my hope seemed dashed. Mr. Tindell knew very well that I was very broke financially but still accepted my case and giving me a ray of hope. This shows that he is not just about money, but about the best interest of my child. Despite the fact that I live thousand of miles away from the State of WA, Mr. Tindell always got in touch with me, giving me updates on my case, and preparing me for the next line of action. He did this via regular phone contacts, e-mails, and letters. Mr. Tindell also has a good client-attorney relationship, a wonderful sense of humor, and was very professional. He handled my daughter's case as if it is all about his own child. He almost shed tears when he observed me becoming very emotional during the trial. Above it all, Mr. Tindell prepared very well for the trial. A day before the trial, I saw my huge file (since my case was very complicated because of what surrounded it) in front of him while he was studying it with keen interest. At a time, I discovered that he even appeared to have understood my case more than I did. From the case file, he pointed to me all the lies and deceptions that had been made by other party and these he pointed out to the Judge during cross-examination. I saw another side of Mr. Tindell during the trial. During cross-examination, Mr. Tindell demonstrated his excellent ability to memorize dates of all events and reports that were filed on the case and these gave him a huge advantage over the opposing parties. Not only was I surprised with the outcome of the trial, I was also satisfied with the results as my credibility was restored by the Judge and the Judge offered a fair but equal share of parenting time with my daughter who had been estranged from me. God used Mr. Tindell to help me reunite with my daughter. I thought I had no voice, but he made my voice heard in the court and this was acknowledged by the Judge. His closing argument was fantastic as it was made in a logical sequence and convincing without reading a book. What else can I say about this man? Mr. Tindell even offered me an accommodation in his humble but a beautiful home and I have never seen this done by any attorney! He also fed me during the period I was in his home. He became a friend to me when I had none and a voice to me when I could not speak. Words and this medium cannot vividly express all the good things that Mr. Tindell did for me!!! Mr. Tindell, I say ‘thank you’ for allowing God to use you to rejuvenate my hope of being a father to my child again. I will always be indebted to you. Thank you.
