Unprofessional

I hired her on the recommendation of another lawyer I know to handle a probate case. Overall, it's been a regrettable experience; a couple of the lowlights: She changed law firms without informing me before or after the change. I only found out after trying to contact her at her old firm after s...he had been gone a month. She has been almost impossible to get a hold of. I have been unable to contact her for months now, even after numerous calls and left messages. There is more, but those 2 alone are more than sufficient. I eventually decided fire her and change attorneys mid-case. For me, having her as an attorney has been a stressful and unpleasant experience.

As a Commisioner, she's terrible

I have been monitoring cases for sometime and most recently Puryear has been filling in as a substitute for Commissioners in Spokane County. You can clearly tell she does not review the case in its entirety, she personally insults whomever she targets from the bench, and so far I have been able to tr...ack that she gets about 85% of her facts wrong. Her decisions appear to be in support of child abuse and neglect as she has refused any sort of evidence showing abuse. Her decisions appear to push some sort of agenda instead of a non-bias fair look as required by the Judicial Code of Conduct. When back into corners by other attorney's she just ends it by claiming its her call. Massive amount of law and code of conduct violations. Be aware if she is substituting you may need to request her off your case to avoid being violated.

Godsend

Navigating anything legal can be chaos. But doing it alone I couldn’t imagine. Joanna not only helped me navigate through everything, but also made the process seem less daunting. She supported, advised and guided me through the entire process and I will forever be grateful for her service. Thank you... so much.

Joanna is a wonderful attorney

Even though I was the respondent, I felt like we were always in front of matters due to Joanna's prompt filings and strategic foresight. She provided sound, straightforward, and correct counsel throughout the case. Joanna demonstrated her thorough understanding of the applicable laws, as the opposi...ng counsel had to shift their position/strategy in response to our filings. I wholeheartedly recommend Joanna and know that I couldn't have found a better attorney to represent me. Very thankful for how things were settled.

Attorney

Joanna is AMAZING! She supported my daughter and me 100% during our custody court dates. She was there for us mentally, emotionally, and legally. She was my advocate in every aspect of our lives and through our relocation.
