Biography
Tamara C. Murray has a long history in the legal field, beginning in 1982 when she first responded to an advertisement seeking a legal secretary. Within a few years Tamara received her paralegal certification from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Tamara enjoyed many years working for both solo practitioners and firms, mainly focusing on family law issues.
While working at a downtown law firm, Tamara returned to college and obtained her undergraduate degree cum laude from Whitworth University. Tamara was immediately accepted into Gonzaga Law School where she obtained her Juris doctorate degree in 2007.
Tamara worked as a volunteer intern at the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office in the Juvenile Unit while waiting for her bar results and then continued on a part-time contract basis in the Juvenile Unit. Tamara then launched her private practice choosing to focus exclusively on family law issues.
Effective July 1, 2019, Tamara restructured her practice areas and is no longer accepting "contested" (litigation) cases, and now accepts limited uncontested cases and provides unbundled services on a limited basis.
Academic Accomplishments: Graduated cum laude from Whitworth University. While at Gonzaga Law School, CALI (formerly AmJur) Award in Legal Research & Writing.
Memberships and Affiliations: Spokane County Bar Association, Washington Bar Association-Family Law Section, and Washington Women Lawyers.
