i was going to mediation by myself and felt things were working. my wifes attorney was to type the dissolution/parent plan after a few sessions of mediation. the 1st draft came back with the docs being malicious towards me and in no way represented our mediated agreement. i saw that i would need an a...ttorney so i hired s. harrington. the initial free consultation he looked at my documents and said that the "case was cut and dry,split the assest 50% and that my visitation was probably the best i would get." this was a 20min rush consult. he was very controlling of the meeting and allowed no time for myself to provide my concerns. at this point i was scheduled for one more mediation with my wife and i stated that i would get back based on the outcome of the mediation. it did not go well so i decided to hire s. harrington based on this web sight review and i saw him in court responding to a motion and attending a hearing. i thought he handled himself well. after i hired s. harrington the only thing that needed to be done was to finalize the dissolution/ parent plan drafts. my wife's attorney corrected the documents properly and deleted the malicious content towards myself. at this point the attorneys both commented that they should sit down for a meeting between my wife and myself prior to finalizing the documents. the attorneys never got this to occur. i hired s. harrington at the end of february 11 and terminated his services at the end of june 11. from february to june i weekly called his office to ask why nothing was being done to finalize my dissolution. at first his assistant claimed that they were only hired to review my wifes attorneys docs for me and that she had not provided them. i let it be know that i hired s. harrington as my "divorce" attorney and he needed to do what was needed as a divorce attorney. i never spoke with s.harrington except the inital 20min free consult and then 15min consult at the point i paid my retainer of $2500. At the mid of june 11 he called me prior to a meeting that our attorneys set up and spent 15min on the phone telling me how it was going to be. that i needed to come to the meeting and that i would absolutly be signing and filing the docs on that day. i had provided him with a list of ques. that had never been addressed by him throughout the time i was using his services. he basically went through several of these questions and stated how "ridiculous" they would be to be addressed in court. every time i tried to discuss my concerns about these points he cut me off in an extremely controlling manner. these questions were not "ridiculous" and were issues that i was compromising during mediation to try to get my dissolution resolved. these issues were researched from individuals who went to court and had a divorce judge rule on those exact issues in spokane county. after i got off the phone with s.harrington i thought about the up coming meeting and my experience with s. harrington to date. at that point he was demanding documentation on issues that had been mediated already and was creating at least 10 hrs of preparation for myself prior to this meeting. he also notified me he was typing up his on version of the dissolution/parent plan. because of the lack of response over several months and his demands towards myself and the fact i had been billed $2000 to date, i discontinue his services. the $2000 i was billed was for phone conversations with his assistant who told me he was busy and had not worked on anything. with the new "drafts" of my docs which were basically rewrites of other drafts and standard wording inserted into those drafts, i was charged about $2900 for absolutely "no legal expertise". to mediate my own dissolution i took 39% equity and had to settle for what ever my visitation would be. i did this to prevent escallating legal fees and resolve this before our home appraisal fell even further than the 20% it had from nov10 to jun11. something wrong ethically/morally!!!!!

I hired Spencer after feeling pushed aside by two other previous lawyers. Spencer and Joann made me feel welcome and are always willing to communicate with me regarding my case. What I appreciated the most was the no nonsense approach that Spencer had in dealing with my divorce case. He laid it all o...ut in plain black and white or without sugar coating the situation and I knew where I stood in my legal situation. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and Spencer only confirms that belief. In situations like divorce that are unpleasant, choosing a lawyer that has your back, communicates, does not make you feel like you are on the back burner, and is honest about your case is what you need. I would make the choice to hire Mr. Harrington again, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs quality in their corner to support them.

Spencer is an absolute bulldog. He represented me in my divorce, which my ex dragged out over two years. Through false accusations of abuse and many, many other lies by my ex, Spencer was able to expose her lies to the court, and not only was I able to get my house back, but got much more time with m...y kids than I expected to end up with. He is now currently representing me though an ugly custody battle and slowly but surely exposing yet more lies from my ex. Both Spencer and his paralegal, Joanne, have kept me updated and informed me of all important developments in both my cases. Highly recommended.

I live in Wenatchee, Wa and hired Mr. Harrington after my ex- husband was allowed temporary custody of my 6 year old son because the courts here allowed it due to a bogus CPS investigation. Before hiring Mr. Harrington i had to also obtain a criminial attorney in Wenatchee because the detective that ...the CPS intevestigator brought along with her charged me with two counts of 2nd degree assualt. I also had a court appointed attorney in juvenile court because CPS filed a depenedency against me. If it weren't for Mr. Harrington and his team I would currently be in a dependency and without my son. But thankfully I found Mr. Harrington and his amazing assistant Joanne. After working with the other two attorneys here in Wenatchee and then hiring Mr. Harrington and Joanne, it was like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. When i called someone was their to answer my questions, when i sent an email, i always got a propt response back from Joanne telling me what to do or what to expect. Not only did Mr. Harrington get my son back after months of not having him home, he also just on his own to protect me and my son got CPS off my back when after obtaining my custody back in court, CPS tried to say they got a intake regarding Lincoln County ( this is where court took place) and now they had to do a safety assessment on me and have a investigation open for 45 days. After Mr. Harrington sent two letters they backed off and there was no safety assessment done. And from now on if they want to ask me anything they have to go through him. Cant say enough about this attorney and his assistant Joanne. One top notch team. Simple the best!
