Peter A. Witherspoon is a Partner of Witherspoon Brajcich McPhee, PLLC, in Spokane, Washington. He founded the firm with James J. Workland in 1985. Licensed in Washington, Mr. Witherspoon's practice has focused primarily on business and commercial law, real property, estate planning, trusts and probate, charitable organizations, and creditors' rights law for over 37 years.
Mr. Witherspoon earned his undergraduate degree (Phi Beta Kappa) in Political Science in 1974 from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. He obtained his law degree (J.D.) in 1977 from the University of Washington. Thereafter, he was an associate attorney at Witherspoon, Kelly, Davenport & Toole, P.S. (Spokane) from 1977-1980 and a partner at Neff, Nayes and Witherspoon (Spokane) from 1980-1985.
Mr. Witherspoon specializes in real estate law and litigation, trust and probate disputes, general business representation and charitable organizations. He is currently a member of the Spokane Estate Planning Council and of the Business Law; Real Property, Probate & Trust; and Creditor Debtor Rights Sections of the Washington State Bar Association.
When he is not hard at work for his clients, Mr. Witherspoon enjoys spending time with family and in the great outdoors.
