ark Vovos was born in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1959. He received an athletic scholarship to St. Ambrose College for football and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in political science in 1963. He attended the University of Arizona and graduated cum laude from Gonzaga School of Law receiving a JD in 1968.
He is the past president of the Washington State Bar Association Criminal Law Section and has served on that committee for over 35 years, which deals with legislation and matters that affect the criminal law in the State of Washington.
He has been an adjunct professor at Gonzaga School of Law since 1977, teaching litigation conduct and dispute resolution. He makes his home in Spokane, Washington, with his family and three dogs.
