Federal fraud and theft case

Jay was my attorney on a federal theft and fraud case. I could literally fill an entire page on the character, work ethic, and knowledge of Jay. He is simply an outstanding lawyer who will work tirelessly for his client. I pray I never need another attorney again, but if I did Mr. McEntire would be m...y pick.

Exceptional, Confident, Professional and Brilliant- A Valuable Representative

Mr. McEntire was my Public Defender in an incredibly unique case where he demonstrated outstanding professionalism and knowledge that reduced my original felony charge to a Pre-Trial Diversion Agreement I never thought feasible. Once we had initiated my case Mr. McEntire was in contact with me freque...ntly, providing me with updates and was readily available when I reached out to him with questions, concerns or confusion- He was more than willing to fully explain the process as well as every detail of the language and requirements pertaining to my case. His responsive nature was helpful in putting my mind at ease while I was juggling being a full-time student at a University, employed working 30 hours a week, and volunteering. Had it not been for the extensive commitment and perseverance manifested within Mr. McEntire I wholeheartedly believe that I would be another casualty of a victim-less crime and serving time in jail or a penitentiary. This was my first encounter with the law and I had no idea what to do, who to turn to or what was in my potential future- Taking this information into account Mr. McEntire worked diligently and efficiently to ensure that I would receive a fair and reasonable assessment of the actions I had committed that resulted in an unbelievable deal with the United States Federal Government. Mr. McEntire went above and beyond typical expectations and sought out individuals higher up in the chain of command of my federal prosecutors to create a magnificent compromise within the court system. In doing so, he convinced the prosecution that lowering my charges was not only necessary but intrinsically morally sound. He was very personal and relatable in his demeanor and adherence to the specifics of my case, demonstrating a genuine understanding and dedication to providing me with the finest outcome I could possibly obtain. Friendly and approachable, Mr. McEntire insisted upon a first-name basis, stimulating a comfortable and trusting environment to engage in the resolution of my case. Mr. McEntire has an astonishing eye for detail- minutes before my initial hearing with the Federal Judge he reviewed my Pre-Trial Diversion Agreement before finalizing it conclusively by including language that would prevent me from the potential of facing more charges than originally prosecuted for, should I violate any of the requirements I had agreed to. Had he not carefully examined the document before finalizing it with the prosecution I would have been eligible to collect more severe punishments for my one-time lapse in judgment. His actions were purposeful and he would tolerate nothing less than accurate precision and exploration of all potential alternatives. I owe my current state of freedom to Mr. McEntire and his astonishing accomplishment with respects to my case. This freedom includes my pursuit of an education, building a career, investing in future plans beneficial to my health and well being, my right to vote, my name clear of legal discrepancies and ultimately my happiness as a valuable asset in my local community with the ability to participate in activities with goals of creating meaningful change. Without the marvelous assistance of Mr. McEntire my ambitions would be severely hindered and difficult, if not impossible, to achieve. I have built a great rapport with Mr. McEntire and he has fully earned my trust and support in his abilities to resolve legal matters with cunning finesse and expertise. Should I have the misfortune of encountering legal woes in the future, Mr. McEntire would most certainly be the first contact as I am undoubtedly confident in not only his exceptional abilities and successful performance but also in his legitimate and sincere comprehension of the matter at hand. I am eternally grateful for the accomplishment Mr. Entire is responsible for providing me with and find myself remarkably fortunate to have encountered his practice of law.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
