Grant William Riva

I got into some legal trouble and a friend HIGHLY recommended me to Grant. She didn’t recommend anyone else, just him, she said he was amazing and shared with me how he helped her legal situation, and that his rates were very reasonable - and she was right! I reached out and was able to reach him on ...my first call attempt, he was kind and very knowledgeable (I was a wreck when reaching out) he was patient as I explained everything to him. Long story short he was amazing from the start, I can tell he genuinely cares about his clients, he is very communicative all along the process, and he takes the time to explain things to you from the legal aspect to ensure you are understanding along the way. I received a ticket as a result of reporting another officer. The ticket was issued in response to what the state deemed as following to close. I believed it to be in retaliation and called Grant Riva. I explained my side, gave him my discovery and asked that he represent me regardless of what the... courts may come back with. I only wanted to contest. He said "ok" and it was cut and dry. The day of court, I did not expect to come out the way I did, but Grant none the less, approached the hearing as I had expected. A win is a win no matter how you look at it. Grant Riva was a great attorney. He took on my case and got me what I was asking for from the beginning. Just to be clear, I paid Grant more (intentionally) than what the citation fee was, but it was principle I was fighting back against. I felt my moral obligation was to not give the state anything for something I didn't do. Grant recognized that and quoted me his fees and I was thrilled that while I was paying more than just paying the traffic infraction, it was still very reasonable and I would use him again if the need were to ever arise.

I received a speeding ticket in ritzville and grand told me that they were 1 of the townships that would work with you as far as lowering it to a non moving violation . Ok great well I got an email from him cause he didn't have the decency to call me personally because he knew I would be happy with t...he results. He did absolutely nothing for me and quite frankly his excuses to me were unacceptable and would rather him tell me the truth from the beginning that I would be stuck with the ticket instead of so.e excuse about elections change and they changed their policy blah blah blah so what am I paying you for ??? Useless attorney!!!!

I hired grant in June 2016 and it's now the end of December and I payed him and I got no results from him besides terrible advice which got me contempt charges. He is very hard to get ahold of and took sometimes weeks to respond back. When timing in the courts is,everything it is important to have a...,lawyer to file papers and get on top of your case in a,timely manner,which grant did not ever. So I would not refer him to anyone ever.
