Mr. Aaron Goforth’s advice and representation has been invaluable. We sought his expertise on four separate matters/occasions. On the first matter, Mr. Goforth advised us to let an issue go, but we decided to pursue it anyway. It didn’t go anywhere, but with the added stress it caused us we sh...ould have taken his advice. On the second matter, we were sued over a frivolous issue by an attorney we complained about to the state bar. Instead of taking our business and asking for a retainer, Mr. Goforth recommended we tender the lawsuit to our insurer, if we had an umbrella policy. We did have coverage, and our insurance company retained an attorney on our behalf and at no cost to us. The agitated attorney dropped his vengeful lawsuit after he realized we were not going to defend ourselves pro se. It was a miscalculated assumption on his part regarding how we handled the first matter. Now realizing the plaintiff and his partner were going to have to do some real and fruitless work against a peer attorney, they walked away. We settled; with prejudice. Thank You Aaron. The third matter was in defense of a lawsuit by our neighbors. Mr. Goforth successfully helped to resolve the issues in mediation. In the fourth matter, those same neighbors failed to comply with their responsibility of the previous mediation agreement. Mr. Goforth assisted us in suing them and establishing our rights to our real property. The Judge found our neighbors had acted “frivolously and in a harassing nature” by dragging the issue out, causing us to pay more attorney fees, not complying with and not producing proof they stated they had, from that same previous mediation. Not only did the judge rule in our favor, but he also awarded us our attorneys’ fees. The decision of the judge was all thanks to Mr. Goforth’s anticipation of these exact events during the previous mediation, resulting in added verbiage to the mediation agreement. No attorneys that we have engaged with in the past had exhibited that much effort into the intricacies of our cases. What pleased us the most is these issues, that ended triumphantly, are not even Mr. Goforth’s primary forte. His services were, in part, offered to us purely out of professional courtesy, as a previous colleague had left the firm at that time and could no longer assist us. The few attorneys we have retained in the past now appear unseasoned in comparison to Mr. Goforth’s expertise. I know who we will contact if we require any business-related issues in the future. Mr. Goforth treated us with utmost respect. We are eternally grateful for his insight, intelligence, guidance and experience.
