Paul Taylor Ferris

For a year after accepting my retainer Mr. Ferris was extremely difficult to contact. I had to contact Washington Bar Association at one point to ask if they would help me contact him. He hemmed and hawed about the issue and I believe missed a couple of chances for resolution due to very slow actio...n, if one could call an email "action." After I gave up on him, another attorney in King County was able to win for me in less than 8 weeks. In my personal opinion, Mr. Ferris is not a good attorney to retain for Second Amendment issues ... you can do better with another as did I ...

Paid retainer to restore firearms rights and for a year had a very difficult time contacting Mr. Ferris or getting timely updates. I made dozens of phone calls and sent over 30 emails with no replies. Once he contacted me after I asked the Washington Bar for assistance in getting him to call me ba...ck. In the end he could not accomplish the task. I then retained a different attorney in a different location who was success in getting my rights restored for both Washington and Federal in less 7 weeks after paying retainer. Less than acceptable performance.

I hired Paul Ferris to settle an issue regarding my right to own a gun thru the federal goverment. He stated that because the issue was with a family member there was no reason I could not own a firearm.. He first stated that it would be Jan or Feb before it would be settled because of the holidays.... The only time that he responded, after I gave him money, was when i emailed him. At first he was pretty good about answering my questions then he wouldnt respond for weeks. He stated that he was sick and had a death in the family. He also states that he is waiting for another issue similar to mine to get settled. I emailed and told him i was tired of waiting. He replied that he agreed that our contract should be disolved and he would return a portion of my money within 2wks and a letter stating that. i havent heard a word since and that was two months ago. Now i email him and he doesnt even respond.

I hired him to restore my Right to own a Firearm, he told me two to three months, then after three months he said another two to three months. He rarely replied to inquiries and when he did gave excuses as to why it was taking too long. He was sick, King County take a long and in then he said he was ...waiting to submit because he five other requests waiting to be reviewed, why? He had an obligation to communicate with me, he didn't, his reasons are no excuse for his actions. It is now in the fifth month, I requested my money to be refunded, he has not responded....
