James Timothy Denison Jr

Mr Denison and his assistant Julie are extremely poor at communication. He is definitely a part of the "good 'ol boy" system in this town. You win some you lose some. If I could do it all over, I would definitely have gone with a different lawyer. I got hosed. I spent a lot of money on very little wo...rk that he did and it stretched out for a very long time. I feel like he never listened or followed through-I am so disappointed and let down. I was just one of many cases for him but it was my and my children's future that were at stake and he didn't come through for us.

Jim is a smart guy that is good at what he does, but I had a small incident with him and instead of trying to resolve it he simply withdrew from my case and left me hanging. I had tried for several days to contact him through both phone and email and never received a response when I had some time-sen...sitive issues in my case. His assistant was out for the week so I expected a delay, but I didn't receive any response at all. I became irritated and had sent him an email about his lack of communication with me, and his only response was a letter to withdraw from my case. He had spoken with my ex's attorney during this time, but didn't have enough time to respond to the client that was paying him. This was the first time I ever had an issue with Jim, and was the last.

I was made to feel like my best interest and rights were priority (at first), but in the end Mr Denison did the least amount of work possible, he failed to push on my behalf, he used my lack of experience and knowledge of law and court to his advantage and did the least amount possible he could on my... behalf. I would never recommend this lawyer to anyone I cared about. I have been left with an unjust parenting plan and a joke of a child support order. I feel very taken advantage of and disappointed. 5 years later, finally having paid Mr Denison in full, I am now seeking a new attorney to modify and fix everything that Mr Denison left my family with. Im sure he sleeps well at night, but the things he does (and doesnt do) in the courtroom and behind the desk has most greatly affected my family and my life. There are many issues I have with what Mr Denison settled with on my behave, just a couoke of which include fiving my ex (and non custodial parent) the rifht to claim both our children on his taxes as a way foe him to pay on some of the child support he never paid. This didnt help me, this gave my ex "free" money to pay on his continuous debts. It came to my understanding that this law office thought I may use that tax money taken from my ex from his being able to claim the children that I raise and support, to pay on attorney fees. Now im left getting child support hardly ever with exception of tax season when its garnished. I should have claim of dependancy of the children...especially when child support is never paid.
