Biography
For 33 of the 35+ years that I have practiced law, my practice emphasis has been litigation. For over 20 years, that emphasis focused on defending civil litigants. For the past 15 years, my focus has increasingly shifted to representing plaintiffs and defendants in agricultural, commercial and estate litigation. I have tried civil cases in Yakima, Benton, Franklin, Klickitat, Chelan, Clallam, and Island County Superior Courts, and I have argued before the Washington State Court of Appeals and the Washington Supreme Court. I have also tried cases in the United States District Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington and have argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. My experience encompasses personal injury and death cases, as well as agricultural, commercial, trust and estate, and general litigation.
