Erin is the founder of the Wright Law Firm, PLLC. She opened her practice in family law because of her passion for helping others and love for the courtroom. Her experiences working with defendants and victims within the criminal law system makes her a dedicated advocate for her clients and a strong, effective litigator at trial.
Erin is a native of the Pacific Northwest, growing up in the Portland Vancouver area. Being proud of her origin, she has always enjoyed volunteering in her local community. In high-school, she volunteered at a soup kitchen, the Rose Festival, and with troubled adolescents. From these experiences she developed a passion for helping others.
Erin’s academic accomplishments led to a scholarship to attend the University of Miami. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication at the University of Miami, majoring in Advertising and International Studies. Her love for volunteering continued while in college. She was on the executive board of the Volunteer Link, one of the University’s philanthropic student groups and was awarded the Vice President’s Award for Service. Her experiences in the community inspired her to join the communication team of Hands On Miami, a non-profit dedicated to building the community through volunteerism.
Her continued love of helping others and the community led her to attend law school at the University of Denver Strum College of Law. While in law school, she continued to volunteer both within the community at large and within the legal community. At the law school’s Criminal Representation Clinic, she took on five cases for indigent clients, advocating on their behalf both in motion hearings and at trial. She also interned at the Denver District Attorney’s Office for a year working with victims and prosecuting cases. While in law school, Erin also attended several local Habitat for Humanity Builds. In addition, she participated in two Habitat for Humanity Global Village builds in developing countries.
After graduating from law school, Erin returned home to the Pacific Northwest and became a lawyer in the Vancouver area. She took her love for helping her community and the knowledge she gained working in the legal field, and began volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Through her training and volunteering experience, she saw the need for passionate family law attorneys. Wright Law Firm, PLLC is a love and passion of hers. It gave her the ability to take her knowledge of the law and passion for helping others and blend them together. She has created a work environment where the community is a priority. She volunteers with her staff on a monthly basis at local non-profits in order to give back to the community. Additionally, she continues to volunteer as a Mock Trial Coach and a CASA.
Erin consistently works hard for her clients, gives back to her community, and maintains a positive attitude. She always encourages her staff and her clients to “create a great day,” hoping to empower everyone to work hard to help others and enjoy life.
