She represented my family in an unfair eviction case. Ultimately the landlord proved too determined and alleged some completely exaggerated and outrageous things, so we lost. We never did find out why the landlord was being so unreasonable, but rental law at this time favors landlords and the judge a...greed (for her own reasons, which didn’t have much to do with the case) so what could we do? But Ms. Cole worked her butt off for us and even got a reconsideration hearing approved, because she (and all her office) felt this was flatly unfair. Lawyers get a bad rap, sometimes rightly so, but this lady is one of the good guys. Even though even I had to admit the case looked unpromising from the beginning, she never stopped trying as hard as she could. She was sympathetic and frank about what was probable, but always had an idea about where to go next. Even though we ultimately lost, I plan to send her a Christmas card. She was that sweet.
