Richard G. “Mick” Phillips has represented businesses, lenders, landowners, contractors and individuals in business, real estate, and land use matters for over 40 years.  Mick’s practice includes business entity formation, corporate acquisitions and mergers, real estate transactions and due diligence, and foreclosures, as well as land use permitting and appeals.  Mick has assisted business and individual clients in a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial transactions and projects, from small real estate acquisitions through multi-million dollar developments and business consolidations.  In addition to his business and transactional practice, Mick has also represented numerous development clients in front of Hearing Examiners, local legislative bodies, state courts and administrative tribunals on land use permitting matters and appeals.  Mick is a regular presenter at professional real estate and development events and forums.

Mick and his family have called Olympia home for generations.  Prior to forming Phillips Burgess PLLC in 2012, Mick was a partner at the Olympia firm of Owens Davies Fristoe, Taylor & Schultz for 26 years.
