I hired Ms. Betzendorfer to represent me as the personal representative of a deceased relative's estate. I paid Ms. Betzendorfer a $5000 retainer to represent me and to handle the probate matter. She was frequently unresponsive throughout the process. She sent a billing to me charging against the... retainer for her discussions with unnamed heirs. Those discussions did not benefit me or the estate in any way. When I complained and asked for details about those anonymous discussions she refused to respond to my concerns, then billed for the time she claimed to have spent reading my emailed protests about her billing practices. She burned through more than 90% of the retainer and had insufficient progress to show for it by the time I fired her and hired a different Tacoma firm. To date she has not returned the balance of the retainer. I cannot recommend either Ms. Betzendorfer or Gravis Law.
