I was impressed at our first consultation and gave Mr. Cena a $2,500 retainer. At our first court hearing the judge ruled that he did not complete the necessay documents so the case was postponed. In the first meeting with my spouse's counsel he provided little support, preferring to let my spouse's ...counsel dictate terms. He communicated sparingly with me over the next two months. Each time I called or met with him I was billed for time including a substantial amount to review the file. After paying $10,000 and suffering through his belittling and condescending tone I fired him and switched to another attorney. The new attorney got me $3,000 in monthly support, one of the two houses, and $100,000. Cena convinced me to accept my spouse's offer of $1,250 a month for support and urged me to settle for $37,500 and no house. During the last negotiation conference Cena did not consider the house, he did not even know that an appraisal was needed for the second house my spouse purchased. Mr. Cena simply wanted to settle the case quickly with little effort on his part and no concern for me (his client). I would not recommend him to handle any divorce case. I believe he is more interested in billing for his services than concern for an equitable settlement for his client. What my new attorney was able to obtain for me supports my concern about his ability. I would also add that he has little to no compassion to deal with divorce cases.

One goes into a divorce scared, hurt and angry. Tom made it very clear that he understood my priorities. That being, my children and that I wanted to be able to stay home with them for as long as possible. He even was able to call in some other amazing specialists. Ones that worked with the kids and ...with my ex and I on finances. He understood that I did want to be fair. I was not out for blood. He is a very ethical. Made sure the other side knew what we were asking and why. Never inflammatory, but made darn sure the other side knew when we would not back down. I would recommend him highly. In the end. Got what I needed. Done as quickly as possible. Not dragging it out for the sake of dragging it out. He has a wonderful office staff as well. *side note* his sense of humor really helps break the tension in an awkward situation.

This law office was a good fit for me. Tom Cena is very passionate about what he does. The only things missed in my divorce proceedings were my fault not his. He did a great job against my narcissistic ex. He could not be as good as he is without Rhonda, his Admin Asst. She's the bomb! I was k...ept informed of all meetings and proceedings. I felt like I was treated like a human being and not just a number. They are a tough act to follow.
