Arbitration lawyer | Dec 06

Relationship: Other

"I endorse this lawyer. I am a plaintiff personal injury lawyer. Greg Curwen was appointed as a swing arbitrator in a complicated personal injury case tried before three arbitrators. After Mr. Curwen's appointment I researched him and saw he has an active insurance defense practice. I saw he is also a federal district court mediator. I went into the arbitration with an open mind believing I would receive fair and neutral treatment from Mr. Curwen. Mr. Curwen conducted the mediation as the neutral mediator. All of his procedural rulings were fair and demonstrated a solid evidentiary foundation. The result demonstrated an impartial understanding of the nature and extent of the injuries with a decent recovery. I will use Mr. Curwen again as a swing/neutral arbitrator or as a single anywhere, any time, any place."

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"Greg served as a neutral arbitrator in a panel arbitration of a complex personal injury matter in which I was recently involved. He conducted the arbitration efficiently, while giving both sides ample opportunity to present their evidence and case theories. It was also clear that he had reviewed and carefully considered all of the voluminous materials submitted in advance of the hearing. I would highly recommend Greg for consideration as a solo or swing arbitrator."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
