Sample of Legal Cases

Azorit-Wortham v. Department of Labor & Industries

The Supreme Court agreed with our position that the traveling employee doctrine applies to occupational disease claims. This was a case of first impression. In the past, the traveling employee doctrine had only been applied in industrial injury claims.

Crabb v. Department of Labor and Industries

The Court of Appeals agreed with Mr. Crabb's position. As a result, all injured workers being paid at the maximum rate received an increase in benefits.

Tobin v. Dep't of Labor & Indus.

Favorable- the Department has no subrogation claim to the pain and suffering portion of a worker's third party claim.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
