Inge Andrea Fordham

Ms. Fordham is a litigation attorney with 19 years' experience representing clients in construction, construction-defect, real estate, and property-related matters. She also handles probate matters and assists clients with their estate planning needs.

Ms. Fordham has substantial experience representing both owners and contractors in construction and construction defect-related disputes. For the first several years of her legal career, Ms. Fordham represented homeowners and condominium associations in complex, multi-party construction defect lawsuits. She also represented condominium and homeowner association clients in collection, judicial foreclosure, and quiet title actions.

In 2011, Ms. Fordham "switched sides" and joined an insurance defense firm where she defended contractors and subcontractors in construction-related disputes throughout Washington and Oregon. Ms. Fordham's diverse background gives her a unique perspective that is immensely helpful in resolving these types of disputes, often short of costly and time-consuming litigation. Many local mediators have expressed appreciation for Ms. Fordham's ability to weigh both sides of a dispute and cut to the chase. Ms. Fordham has assisted homeowners in recovering damages from contractors and their sureties and insurers. She has also been appointed by insurers to defend claims against contractors and subcontractors. Her knowledge of how insurance companies process and settle property damage claims is helpful to homeowners seeking coverage for their damages, as well as contractors seeking coverage for defense and indemnity.

In 2017, Ms. Fordham left a partnership at the Seattle-based insurance defense firm where she worked for more than six years to return to her roots in North Tacoma. She continued practicing construction law and also began handling more real estate and property-related transactions and disputes and probate matters as well.  Ms. Fordham prides herself on providing quality, cost-effective service her clients. She is a go-to resource for many local realtors and title companies when issues arise in the midst of a pending transaction. Ms. Fordham offers creative and cost-effective solutions for complex problems and counsels clients on how to quickly and affordably accomplish their goals so they can close transactions with peace of mind.

Ms. Fordham opened Fordham Law, PLLC in 2018 to focus on providing personalized legal counsel in an environment where client goals and long-lasting relationships are valued over turning a profit. She believes in taking the time to truly understand her clients' needs and goals and aims to provide quality legal services at affordable prices.

Ms. Fordham is a Pacific Northwest native. She obtained her BA from the University of Washington in 2002, graduating after three years with a double major in psychology and law, society and justice. She is an avid Husky football fan. Ms. Fordham graduated from Seattle University School of Law cum laude and obtained her JD in 2006. When she is not working, Ms. Fordham enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys travel, live music, and wine.
