Travis S Groves

This lawyer was helpful with my case regarding custody of my children and the relocation my ex was trying to do without following any of the proper channels to do it. Mr. Travis Groves is a good lawyer and he is not going to jerk you around. I feel like his motivation is not losing, but if he's on... your side then it's good. He doesn't pull any punches, he's not one to mince words and waste time. I didn't have a lot of money to put into a lawyer, he knew that and did what he could to save me a bit of money here and there through my case. I feel like he did a really good job when there was any court action, and that was where I think he did his best work. There were a couple of times when I would have liked a little more clarification on some points, but it wasn't anything major and was straightened out easily with a phone call or email. If I did need to call he was always very easy to get ahold of. If he didn't answer when I called, I would leave a brief message and I would get a return call as soon as he was available. I was also able to communicate with him by text message, which is sometimes easier than other forms of communication. He did tell me during the consultation, "I'm an a#@hole, but I'm your a$*hole." I appreciated his candor and he stuck to it. I was glad to have him on my side and would hire him again if need be in the future.

From the first minute we stepped into Mr. Groves office we knew he was the attourney we would hire simply by how he spoke and how he presented himself. I am medically retiring from the Army and we were wanting to relocate to Florida however, my wifes ex husband was not going to allow us to take her c...hild. We spoke with Mr. Groves and he gave us the motivation and determination to take the case to the next level if needed and not give in which would have allowed the ex husband to keep the child while we moved. After multiple visits and Mr. Groves displaying gratitude for the case and helping us decide other options to settle outside of court to avoid trial costs, he was ffinally able tk help us work up a plan that ultimatley convinced the ex husband to relocate to FL with us to allow the child a continued relationship with both parents. At first I was weary of any lawyer knowing they sometimes take you for all they can financially. Not Mr. Groves, he did everything he could to help us settle outside of court and because of his honesty and knowledge he saved us thousands of dollars and months of court hearings. Thank you Mr. Groves for everything and thank you for allowing my family and I to settle down and start our future together down in FL. Veteran to veteran, thank you for all you do and thank you for your service to our country.

Travis Groves was amazing through my divorce/child custody process. He answered my questions and always put my children's safety as a priority. I hired Travis to help me on a modification of a parenting plan about a year ago. I made the mistake of not hiring an attorney in the beginning so I put myself in a tough spot regarding my parenting plan of 50/50 visitation (which was a mistake to begin with!) Travis was very upfront and honest about... my situation. The process ended through mediation. I did not get what I initially wanted, but I did set myself and my daughter up for something better in the future. I am "wearing the white hat" as he would say. To this point, the other party in this case has not been living up to their responsibilities so when it is time to modify, I'll be calling Travis back. Another note, he's always very attentive and willing to answer questions. I never had a problem getting a hold of him and he also dealt with my frustrations when I had them. Hopefully, what I set myself up with as of now will benefit my daughter and I in the future!

Travis took my case last minute with only a month to prepare because I really was getting taken to the cleaners by my ex and her lawyer and really needed legal advice in my final divorce hearing. It was alot of work that he managed to put together quickly and give good advice on. Sadly in the end, I ...still lost in court but Mr. Groves without a doubt in my mind never wavered in the constant uphill battle we were facing for my divorce financials and custody issues.
