Mr. Groves vast knowledge and communication skills proved invaluable and I would recommend him to anyone seeking assitance in family law! This lawyer was helpful with my case regarding custody of my children and the relocation my ex was trying to do without following any of the proper channels to do it. Mr. Travis Groves is a good lawyer and he is not going to jerk you around. I feel like his motivation is not losing, but if he's on... your side then it's good. He doesn't pull any punches, he's not one to mince words and waste time. I didn't have a lot of money to put into a lawyer, he knew that and did what he could to save me a bit of money here and there through my case. I feel like he did a really good job when there was any court action, and that was where I think he did his best work. There were a couple of times when I would have liked a little more clarification on some points, but it wasn't anything major and was straightened out easily with a phone call or email. If I did need to call he was always very easy to get ahold of. If he didn't answer when I called, I would leave a brief message and I would get a return call as soon as he was available. I was also able to communicate with him by text message, which is sometimes easier than other forms of communication. He did tell me during the consultation, "I'm an a#@hole, but I'm your a$*hole." I appreciated his candor and he stuck to it. I was glad to have him on my side and would hire him again if need be in the future.

I had a horrible experience with Mr. Groves! He completely misrepresented his experience level to me. Forgot TWICE to put his phone on silent when we went befoe commisioners. Really ticked them off! He was about seven months post passing the bar and completely tricked me about his expertise and ex...perience level in the subject of custody of my children, the most important decision of my life! Will never forget how he tricked me and got me off on a horrible footing for my family court issues. Thankfully, things all worked out, but it was no thanks to Travis Groves!!

I hired Travis Groves to tackle a cross-state custody case. Paid him $5000 retainer right away, to which he used up within a month, and asked for more after crashing and burning hard on my case. After all was said and done, this man charged $7000 total for the most ineffective performance I've ever... seen. Mr Groves literally cited his OWN performance as a breakdown of his ability to suit my needs, and cited his own ineffectiveness as being the problem. Did not offer refund. Now tell me, if you knew you did someone a disservice, would you try to make it right? Not Travis. It seems as though he quit due to pride. He is also very negative, and uses derogatory language and seemingly has an issue with profanity and professionalism. If Mr. Groves gets upset, he directs his anger like that of a child. I would never recommend this lawyer to anyone. He took my money, and did literally nothing for me. The most inconsequential $7,000 I've ever spent in my whole life in a heartbreaking situation involving extreme parental alienation. He could care less. Only cares about his check. Be sure when choosing counsel, to brush over this man.
