Good man to work with

Travis has given me great information when I needed it, and I needed it a lot. I spent more money than I thought I would, but that was my own fault. I wasn't completely prepared to do what I should have, and backtracked a few times causing the price of helping my case to be higher than I had hoped, b...ut was still reasonable. So, make sure you know EXACTLY what you want to do with the case (full custody, 50/50, ex-parte, etc..). My case ended up staying out of court because the other party agreed to terms and I have been happy with that. I would have definitely had Travis go to court with me if we needed to do that. One thing that I would say is, sometimes when I would write a long email, Travis would rather speak with me over the phone about it. I usually ended up forgetting to ask about something when we were talking and would need to bring it up in a short email, but he would get that info to me quick enough. That could just have been a difference in our methods, as I am not the best communicator in dialogue. Overall, I would recommend Travis, and would use him again if I needed to.

Out of state relocation

I came to Travis with a very difficult case, I needed to relocate out of state with my son, whos father I shared 50/50 custody with. Travis was honest and upfront about all possible scenarios and helped me to build the case to win. He spent the time needed with myself and my witnesses to present the ...best presentation possible in court. I would definately recommend Travis if you are looking for an effective, no bullshit attorney.

A Cut Above the Rest!

My Case was complex family law post adoption and a current third custody matter that was decided at the Superior Court in Kitsap County Washington April 2016. My previous attorney from Kitsap County withdrew from my case at the conclusion of the proceedings on the same day the court made its final ...ruling. Thereafter, the other party's attorney noted a new hearing on the court calander for a motion for reconsideration. During this particular period of time, I searched for a new attorney that would effectively and decisively work in the best interests of my family. From the start with my first contact with Mr. Groves, I realized he had the integrity, knowledge and personal character to represent the kids and I. It was a Saturday morning in March when I met him face to face at his Law office and I was compelled to hire him right then and there. Today, I am so glad that I did! He has a fantastic family law team on his side too. Everyone that works I his office is a top of the line legal professional of the highest standards. They all know what's going on and made me feel at ease with their legal abilities. It isn't always that way with other with other attorneys and their law firms. This is true with my other legal representation experiences in the past regarding the best interests of my adopted children. Attorney Travis Groves, Attorney Laura Groves, their paralegals and other legal professionals are a cut above the rest and I would recommend that anyone needing legal help with a family law case, contact and retain their expert legal services at once because they are the very best choice for you. Thanks for all your help Grove's Law Office Thank you all so much! Respectfully, Glenn Mitchell

Our office always recommends prospective clients remain with their current counsel whenever possible. Mr. Mitchell's counsel did an excellent job, but unfortunately had to withdraw due to a judicial appointment. Our office came in afterwards to ensure a proper response to the request for reconsideration was timely made. Fortunately; the court denied the reconsideration sua sponte and our representation remained to provide cover for any future matters. Mr. Mitchell's kind words are much appreciated, but this matter was a fine example of a minimalist approach applied correctly to reach a favorable resolution with a positive cost/benefit. Best regards to Mr. Mitchell and all he has done for his grandchildren!

Mr. Groves did better than expected under extremely arduous circumstances.

I had primary custody of my 3 children for 8 years when I was hit with false accusations from my ex-wife in an attempt to stop paying child support. Her cruel an unyielding actions forced us into the worst custody battle for most of a year. My previous lawyer was not up to the challenge and withdrew ...just about 30 days before the trial and I was desperate for a competent lawyer who could catch up on the case and provide adequate defense in time for trial. Mr. Groves worked with me all day on Saturdays and Sundays to cover all the important facts and prepare witnesses and evidence. He told me the truth always outs in trial and he was right. In the end, we won. If she had only settled with me in advance it would have saved the children a wasted year of hardship, pain, and over $40K. Thanks to Mr. Groves, at least my children are back with the reliable and loving Father they have always known.

(I didn't charge anywhere near 40K. That distinction goes to the other attorney. Just FYI)

Custody/Relocation out of state.

Mr groves helped me defend against false allegations and change of custody of my children. He then helped me during trial to relocate myself and my children out of the state. He was honest and upfront about all possible outcomes, always answered my questions. And accommodate my schedule as much as po...ssible for meeting and calls.

The best lesson I ever learned in Law School was when to sit down and shut-up. This client wore the "white hat" well and did everything responsibly and without any spite or unnecessary conflict. Unfortunately; the opposing party didn't and his conduct did more to prove our case than anything I could have done. Credit must be given to the client for her patience and understanding to allow the system to work and see in the end the truth outs!
