I contacted Travis regarding a divorce that I wasn't sure was going to be easy or tough. I expected the latter. Travis found time to talk with me on the same day I contacted him and really put my mind at ease, meticulously explaining the legal process which I was just about to embark on. He explai...ned to me the ins and outs of the proceedings and about how it could be drawn out or uncontested depending on the ex. He prepared me for the worst, but surprisingly she didn't contest anything and 91 days later the divorce was finalized. If I was to ever go through that again Travis would be my go to guy.

My Case was complex family law post adoption and a current third custody matter that was decided at the Superior Court in Kitsap County Washington April 2016. My previous attorney from Kitsap County withdrew from my case at the conclusion of the proceedings on the same day the court made its final ...ruling. Travis and his office was hired to help me with a VAPO, vulnerable adult protection order, that my ex husband brought upon me on our adult daughter who was in his control. My ex was able to get a therapist to write some very bad things about me to the Court. So disturbing that they would bring ...some doubt to anyone's mind. Travis by just using his expanse knowledge, his drive to win a case, his belief in me, and dedication to justice was able to have the VAPO over turned. I was going to give up after the 2nd appeal but Mr Groves and my husband were convincing for me to give it one last try before a judge. I agreed and hired Mr Groves to appeal the VAPO. We won. The VAPO was dismissed and 2 months later my daughter was living with me. She would have died without the VAPO being overturned. My daughter even told me she was ready to die under her father's control. Travis Groves is to credit with my daughter being alive today. I thank him intensely. I hired Travis to represent my son after being served with paperwork from my ex seeking custody. I called Travis on a Sunday with the intent to leave a message since I was already forced to do so with several other law firms I called before dialing his number. When I called Travis though he answered ...immediately. I was absolutely shocked to be speak to an attorney on a Sunday morning! An actual attorney not a receptionist or message keeper but Travis himself. I explained to him what had happened and he proceeded to explain to me what needed to be done. Not once during the initial conversation did he tell me I needed to give him any sort of deposit before he could speak with me further. Every other office I have ever dealt with has had some sort of receptionist who has been quick to tell me that I needed to deposit a large sum of money before the attorney could speak with me. Travis dealt with the major issues first and then moved into the financial ones. Financially he was extremely fair and reasonable. He wasn't the typical shark out to soak up the funds. He not only forewarned me about what the fees would end up being, but he would let me know ahead of time a payment was coming due so that I had time to come up with the fees. If there was something he could cut out to lessen the financial burden on me he did. It was definitely the most amazing experience and most importantly....He won my case! I will say though that Travis is a great lawyer with a lot of experience. He is a straight shooter and will tell you like it is. If your looking to play the victim and have your hand held throughout the entire process that will only get you so far with him. If he tells you to do something or obtain something do it because he knows what he's doing, and it showed each and every time we walked into the court room. I could not ask for a better Lawyer or better experience then the one I received with Travis. I will most definitely be referring him to others as well as using his services for any family law needs in the future!
